The Financial Services Compensation Scheme was designed for individuals rather than companies, but small organisations are entitled to claim. Therefore there should be a maximum of the higher of £50,000 or €50,000 in any one institution.
Having said that, I can't help with the best club accounts because I don't run one these days. Hopefully, someone else may know better. Unfortunately the article Donna refers to does not cover club accounts.
