212How does this compare with the cash passport cards ... they charge them up with the foreign currency before you go ... no exchange rate to pay ... no charge on transactions.
Presumably there's a loading fee ... but I can't find out what it is on the TravelEx site without completing a purchase (assuming it's hiding in there somewhere).
A good alternative if you don't want the danger of a credit card ?

212Hmm a bit more research on my part has revealed there are charges all over the place on the cash passport cards ... I won't be using them for my holiday ... !

I really can't recommend them highly enough (if you live in London). They even deliver to your office, home etc and they are far far better rates than the post office.
I got my AUD form them last month and was very pleased with the rate as at the time (and now) the AUD was strong

1really good tool to use is the http://www.mytravelmoney.co.uk comparison engine - they scrape live rates from all the major travel money suppliers. well worth a look!
