Your worst Coffee or Tea experience?

I recently tried to purchase a cup of coffee from a Starbucks at a Mexican Airport. The credit card machine did not work, I had no local currency and the barrista said he could not accept a $20.00 US dollar note as he did not have change (US dollars are widely accepted in Mexico even small street stall owners had no problem with my paying with dollars) . Outcome I went without my coffee even though he had already made it and put it on the counter behind him. This did prompt a complaint to Starbucks who eventually provided 3 vouchers for free drinks. BUT I would rather just have had the coffee when I wanted it. Anyone else had a bad experience when trying to get a caffeine fix?
