i have compensation money in isa`s do i have to declare it ? or is it clased as private

    have you got redress or compensation? redress is completely free, but sometimes compensation may have a tax liability.  

    From experience, any declaration would only likely be needed regarding the 8% statutory rate of intertest that may be added to the compensation, so you would be expected to pay 20% on the interest element

    the ISA company will never know, but it is your duty to declare any and all earnings prior to putting the money in
