I have 5 current accounts on different bank, does it effect on my credit history.. its good or bad thing to have

Basically when i got mortgage first time it was really hard to get, no lender was ready to approve my mortgage coz of low credit score but somehow i manage to get from Platform subsidiary of Britannia Building society anyway.. so then i open account all big banks and moving money between them (approx 1000 on each account and keep moving them every month)... now i am planing to get another mortgage in next year some time.. does this action help or not..... it is good to have few current accounts or BAD.. Please Advice...
