Norwich & Peterborough -- A Correction

Earlier this week we got our facts wrong on the Norwich & Peterborough BS Gold Account. It's a better account than we said.

This is a Foolish apology. On Tuesday we sent an email to Fools in which we said that users of the Norwich & Peterborough BS Gold Account were not offered any authorised overdraft. I regret to say that wasn't correct. We confused this account with the Norwich & Peterborough Basic Banking Account (for people with low credit ratings), which has no authorised overdraft. The Gold account does include a £500 fee-free overdraft. It also offers 0% interest, for six months, on the overdrafts of people switching to the account. And if you're in credit, you'll receive a 4.28% savings rate. The corrected article - The Ugly Side Of Current Accounts - is now published on the site.
