Retailers' last order dates for Christmas deliveries
We reveal the last Christmas order dates for some of the biggest online retailers.
Christmas is less than a month away and even if you’re planning to shop online you’ll need to get started as some retailers close their online doors for ‘last orders’ during early December.
Here’s our run down of some major retailers’ Christmas order deadlines…..
Laura Ashley - last day for orders on new sofas (‘express’ range only). Ond orders for made to measure curtains must be in by 9th December. Other items can be ordered up until 16th December.
Mamas and Papas - today’s the cut off for personalised gifts, but you’ve got until midnight on 16th to order ‘non’ furniture items using the standard delivery service or up to 22nd Sunday for next day delivery on furniture.
Photobox - last orders for most Christmas gifts but some items including etched glass and photo art products need to be in a couple of days earlier on the 10th. Delivery costs vary according to products.
Lakeland - gift-wrapped purchases must be ordered by midnight, but for standard delivery (minus the gift wrapping) you’ve got until midday on 19th and 6pm on 20th Friday for ‘next day’ delivery.
Jessops - final day for personalised phone and tablet cases, calendars with photo and glossy paper. For photo booms with premium photographic paper you've got until the 16th, for XL photo books, canvas prints and photo posters you've got until the 17th and for all photo prints and personalised cards you've got until the 18th.
Thorntons - orders must be in by 4pm for standard delivery (£3.95). For next or named day delivery (£6.95) you’ve got until 4pm on 23rd December.
Whittard - today’s the deadline for ‘standard delivery’ which costs £3 or free on orders over £35.
Waterstones - to bag free delivery by post orders must be in by 3pm. Choose to collect in store and you’ve got until 3pm on 20th to order and it’s the same deadline for courier delivery (from £4.95).
Marks & Spencer - 7pm is the deadline for standard delivery (£3.50) or midday on 22nd for ‘next day delivery’ which costs £4.95 (though it's free with orders over £150). Last orders for in-store collection must be in by midday on 22nd December and can be collected the following day.
Paperchase - to bag free delivery orders must be in by 1.30pm today or by 1.30pm on 20th for ‘next working day’ delivery on 23rd (£4.95).
Tesco - last day to ‘guarantee’ standard delivery in time for Christmas (non-food items) or with ‘click and collect’ orders will be taken up until 3pm on 22nd.
Debenhams - last orders for standard home delivery and its ‘click and collect’ service but ‘next day’ home delivery service is still available until 2pm on 23rd December.
Amazon - last day to order with ‘super saver delivery’ (£10 minimum order may apply on some products). And it’s the 20th for first class post, (costs vary), and until 11am on 23rd for orders with ‘one day’, ‘express’ or ‘delivery to pick up locations’. The latest you can order is 9.30am on Christmas Eve for evening delivery which costs £14.99 per item and available in selected areas.
House of Fraser - 7pm is the cut off for standard delivery (£3 or free over £50) but there’s a range of options including next day or evening order (£6) which can be ordered up to midnight on 22nd December.
Oxfam - orders have to be in by today and a £3.95 delivery charge.
Avon - place your orders today to get them in time for Christmas.
Next - 11am is the cut off for ‘same day’ delivery orders, but you can order up to midday on Sunday 22nd December for ‘next day’ delivery or for store pick up you’ve got up to 8pm on Monday 23 December with collection from midday on Christmas Eve.
Clinton Cards - orders by 4pm for Christmas delivery.
Coast - order by 4pm for standard delivery service, (free on orders over £100 or £2.99), or by 4pm on 23rd for next day delivery (£4.99) or until midday on Christmas Eve for its ‘one hour’ (£7.99) delivery slot which means gifts will arrive before 8pm; subject to local store availability.
Topshop - orders in by midnight for standard delivery (£4 or free on orders over £100). Next day delivery cut off time is midnight on 22nd.
NotOnTheHighStreet.com - it’s midday for orders with standard delivery (charges up to £4.75), or for express delivery it’s midday on 23rd December (up to £6.95). Personalised items may need to be ordered further in advance so check for individual product details.
Boots - order by 21st for its standard home delivery and by 22nd December for ‘next day’ delivery. For ‘click and collect’ you’ve got until 2pm on Monday 23rd for collection in store after 2pm Christmas Eve.
John Lewis - last day to order for ‘click and collect’ or ‘next day’ delivery. For standard delivery orders need to be in by 17th December to allow five days (excluding weekends) for delivery.
Firebox - you’ve got the whole evening up until 11.45 to send over your order for its ‘next day’ courier service. It costs £6.95 for delivery Christmas Eve before midday. But if you want to opt for standard delivery (free on orders over £50 or £3.25), orders must be in nearly a week earlier by 11.45pm on 16th.
Moonpig - Order by 2pm for gifts and 4pm for cards. These will arrive via 'special delivery' on Christmas Eve, which costs £6.75.
