If you haven't used up your ISA allowance for this tax year 2013/2014, here are the top Cash ISAs right now.

The best Cash ISAs

Cash ISA interest rates, like most savings rates, have been steadily falling.

But here are the best rates right now.

Top instant access Cash ISAs

The top instant access ISA we were able to find comes from Nationwide, which is paying 2.50%. But you can only get this account if you have a Nationwide current account.

Nationwide BS Web ISA (Issue 3)

up to 2.25%

£10,000

Balances above £1,000 get 1.5% bonus until September 2014. Balances above £10,000 get 1.75% bonus

Transfers and new subscriptions.

You’ll see that some of the accounts have bonuses. We’ve got no problem with fixed bonuses. They mean that your interest rate can’t fall below a certain level for a set period. That's not the case with a variable rate bonus though.

Just remember that the interest rate on your account will almost certainly crash once the bonus expires.

Top notice Cash ISAs

Historically, if you were able to give a little warning before making a withdrawal the top notice ISAs paid higher interest rates. As you can see, this isn't currently the case, but here are the top notice ISAs anyway.

Top fixed rate ISAs

Moving onto fixed rate ISAs, sadly interest rates have been plummeting throughout the tax year here as well.

Back at the beginning of the financial year the top paying account we found for short-term ISAs was from BM Savings paying 4.05% on a two-year fixed rate, while Santander had a deal paying 3.50% on a one-year deal.

As you can see, rates now are nowhere near those (relatively) heady levels. In fact, no one-year fixed rate ISA currently beats the top instant access ISA, so we've removed them from this table.

Why aren't the two Newcastle Building Society ISAs listed, as written about by Reena Sewraz only the day before?. If these tables arebn't accurate it is a waste of time publishing them.
