Lower your TV bill

How-to Guide Tips 3 tips on this task  |

1) Go for a bundle
Another bill you can cut with a bundle is your TV. With BT, Sky and Virgin Media all competing for your business, deep discounts are on offer for taking a package with one of them.

2) Only pay for what you want
Most satellite providers now offer a selection of different packages on different pay scales, based on which channels you want to have access to.

So if you’re currently paying for a heap of channels you never watch, have a look to see if you an alternative package meets your needs better.

3) Get Freeview
It's a cheaper alternative to other digital TV packages. If you don’t want to pay a monthly subscription to go digital, why not get Freeview instead?

A Freeview box costs around £15 to £30 and it’s a one-off payment. You can get access to 48 digital TV channels, as well as 24 radio stations at no extra charge.

I went with freeview 2 years ago,now I only have a TV licence to pay for instead of finding cash for channels that keep showing the same thing over and over again

Freeview is great if you can receive it.

Many older LA buildings do not have access to comunal ariels, so people are forced to use internal ariels which are not strong enough to receive freeview signals.

Hence the need for tv dishes, for sky etc.

    Any solutions?

Pay for your TV Licence by direct debit, and monthly not quarterly is cheapest
