<![CDATA[I have residency & parental rights for my Grandson. What should I be claiming?]]> <![CDATA[I was made redundant last summer: I hate to ask, but what should I be claiming?]]> Hi,

I'm 31 year old male, no dependants and live in rented accomodation.

I was made redundant last April. I've worked constantly since I was 16, so I have some savings and received a pay off.

I'm not actively looking for work, but I am trying to set up a small business, which is taking ages.

InApril I will run out of money.

So, my question is: should I be seeking support towards my rent? Or should I be entitled to jobseekers allowance despite not actively looking for a job?

<![CDATA[Do you have a money hero?]]> Do you have a money hero that you look up to, someone who would actually inspire you to become a bit better with your money?

I'd like to nominate my dad, but also feel a bit discouraged as I will never be as good as him with my cash.

<![CDATA[Ebay versus car boot sales]]> I was hoping to take a chunk out of my (diminishing!) credit card bill by selling on some old stuff - mostly books, CDs, and some decent brand name clothing.

I looked on Musicmagpie for the CDs but the offers were low and Greenmetropolis offers good rates for books but is pretty slow.

Now considering putting some stuff on Ebay or possibly a car boot sale. Can anyone offer advice on which is better? And if it is the car boot sale, can anyone recommend one in Central / South London? Preferably one that doesn't require a car.

<![CDATA[Looking for good personal finance software, either online (similar to mint.com) or offline (but free).]]> I'm struggling to keep track of all my outgoings at the moment and I'm just looking for a nice website or piece of software (preferably for Android) which I could input my in- and out-goings. Thanks.

<![CDATA[Money management classes for teens]]> I'm looking to enrol my little sister into a finance class where they cover money management and other things related to money. The class has to be in London and aimed at teens in the 15-16 age group.

I'm hoping the course will cover things such as credit cards, saving accounts, etc. I'd also like for it to cover economics from a high level view as well as the stock markets, how banks operate.

If there are classes for 17-18 year olds, that'll also be great.

<![CDATA[I'm getting married and I would love some money-saving tips so I can have a cheap wedding but still invite lots of people.]]> My boyfriend and I just got engaged yesterday and I'm absolutely over the moon about it, except when I think about how much it's going to cost.

As the editor of lovemoney.com, I'm pretty frugal so I really want to have a low-cost wedding, and ideally I'd like to get married really soon so there's not lots of time spent stressing and faffing. But my other half wants to invite lots of friends and family and for it to be special and unique. At the moment, I'd just really appreciate some advice on how to keep costs down an particularly on any cheap but special venues to get married at or eat at in London.

Thanks for all your help in advance!
