Your Analysis

Hi

Can you explain how the "your analysis" works? The monthly average doesn't seem to match the data contained within the months (sadly I have had a calculator out as it didn't seem right).

Does it use all of the months data (even if zero) divided by the number of months "not ignored"?

    Hi Gregandmich,

    Yes the analysis section uses all of the months that appear when you expand a segment, including the zeros. You can edit this by ignoring certain months transactions for that category.

    Hi, it doesnt seem to work that way. Spent some time with a calculator and it only seems to take into account the last 6 months data and ignores any older.

    Can you confirm that is the case?

    Are you able to access more than 6 months worth of data under the Transactions tab?

    Yes, it goes back to January 11.

    I have another lovemoney account with my own personal account and it is the same on that account as well, not just specific to this account.

    Seems the analysis only calculates the last 6 months worth of data and takes an average from that?

    Hi Gregandmich,

    We have just discovered a separate bug with our analysis tool, where the averages do not seem to be worked out in the correct way. We are currently working on a fix for this and will hopefully release this fix with the release of version 2.

    As with your problem, I will get the tech team to look into this at the same time, I have seen screenshots from other users who are able to display more than 6 months worth of data, so we will investigate your account and hopefully fix this for you as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes in the meantime.

    Exactly the same on my account as well. I can send you a screen print which illustrates it pretty well if that helps? However I guess that you have identified an issue and are working on it, so perhaps that is unnecessary?

    Yeh unfortunately we have identified a problem with this so a screenshot isn't needed. I will keep you updated on the progress of our second version of Tracker.
