Problems with Egg, anyone?

I am having problems configuring my Egg (UK) account - the app does not think my password is correct, though I am able to login to the bank using exact same ones. I tried several times, deleted the account and added again, no joy. I guess this is a bug.

    Hi Laji - are you getting a specific error code when it fails to download your transactions?

    The Egg issue is still present - yes, says login details are incorrect. I have managed to login to Egg with the same details! Also, updates to the Online Banking facility were promised in days, but nothing has happened for many weeks now - any movement on this?

    Does anyone know if this was fixed as I have also started getting a 402 error on logging into my Egg account and I am using the exact same details as I use to log into Egg online.

    Though I did recently change my post code with Egg. I have tried both the new and the old post code on Love Money and neither works. Have also tried putting everything in capitals and that doesn't work either.

    Hi Sunflowers,

    Checking over the reports from our data partner the egg banking agent is coming back healthy so I have raised a service request with them so they can investigate your account and see why it is erroring.

    I'm having exactly the same problem: in fact, I'd tried lovemoney.com months ago and haven't used it since, as I wasn't able to access my egg.com bank details. On trying it again recently, I get a 402 error although I'm able to sign into egg.com with the same details. I'd be grateful if someone from lovemoney could look into it for me.

    Hi Sunflowers,

    I have heard back from our data partner who would like me to confirm the URL you are using the log into egg,

    The URLs we support is

    https://new.egg.com/security/customer/logon

    https://new.egg.com/customer/youraccounts

    Can I also confirm that you are using the correct banking agent as there are two seperate agents for savings and credit cards,

    Self-propelled, if I could also ask you to confirm the URL you use along with double check the banking agent.

    Once we have this information our data partner will be able to identify whether or not there has been a change with Egg.

    Hello,

    I usually use www.egg.com and when I just logged in now it went to

    https://your.egg.com/customer/yourmoney.aspx

    I just tried with

    https://new.egg.com/security/customer/logon

    And it works as well for me to log into my egg account.

    I was using the correct banking agent as before I changed my address (which includes my post code and is one of logons that Egg use) I could see my credit card details.

    I have no trouble logging into Egg using either of the two URLs you give - does that answer your question? (In case it's relevant, I note that when I enter those URLs in my browser I am redirected to https://your.egg.com/security/customer/login.aspx?URI=

    and

    https://your.egg.com/security/customer/login.aspx?URI=https://new.egg.com/customer/youraccounts)

    I have double-checked that my account details on lovemoney are for a savings account, not a credit card account.

    Thanks Mandy. It would also be useful for this forum to have a way of subscribing to threads, so that users can be notified of new posts via email. Currently I can't see any way to do this.

    I totally agree to it would be nice to subscribe to the thread as I log on most days to check and see whether the difficulty in accessing my egg account details through LoveMoney has been sorted out yet.

    Hi self-propelled and sunflowers both of you have recieved update emails:

    An occurring problem our data partner is finding is:

    After analysis we found that the user is unable to log as has update the DOB in the mm/dd/yy(yy-length of 2) format. Whereas, the actual required format by the end site is dd/mm/yyyy(yyyy-length 0f 4).”

    If you are experiencing egg problems please try changing the DOB to this format

    I have exactly the same problem reported here. I have entered my log on details correctly. I have inputted the DOB in the DD/MM/YYYY format and I've checked the url I log on from is

    https://your.egg.com/customer/yourmoney.aspx

    MandyL, would really appreciate that. Also having problems adding Nationwide but will post about that separately. This is potentially such a great service but I'm currently only seeing half my financial picture!

    Hi,

    as of today 29/08/2011 Egg still cannot be added, this is my first dip in the Love Money waters as an ex Wesabe user before adding any other accounts in. Last thing I want is my main account NW being locked out.

    I have found one solution to Egg problem, close the account and open an MBNA card account, the login works perfectly! Egg were hiking my interest rate so it was goodbye from me anyway so I killed two birds with one stone.
