Annoying cheques keep coming through the post, otherwise good.

There are two annoying things about this card (although I did get mine about a year ago now).

1. Every month or so they send a letter to you with 6 blank cheques printed on A4 paper that you can tear off and then write to you bank and request a balance transfer. WHO USES THIS? Who even uses cheques anymore. Stupid pointless waste of paper.

2. It might have skipped my attention whilst applying but I doubt it. When I got my application through I found that payement protection insurance had been added and I really don't remember asking for it. This smelt of scam to me but obviously I can't prove it. Anyway, make sure you call up to cancel it early on as otherwise they won't refund the premium for this pointless insurance.

Otherwise good product and well staffed call centres.

Found it easy to sort out

Virgin card was just what I needed to compress all of my balances onto the one card.  And with such a long 0% until Dec 2011 it give me lots of time to save up to pay off in one go.

I would also say that when taking the card please ensure that you ask them to cancel any cheques, PPI and manage account online. saves a lot of wasted mail being received.

Ticked the box for 0% balance transfer but watch out for the sting

Product is great for transfering balance form other cards even with the 3% BTF but the sting!!!!! AWHOOPING 24% APR due in October watch yourselves you can hold on to 16% APR but you can't use the card until the balance is paid in full.........

Keep away this card can turn nasty

I transferred a  small balance but negelcted to pay it off ,bought a couple of things and ended up with a balance 0f £2.7k I noticed that I had Lifesyle protection  and the cost of this was almost equal to the intrest payments which meant I was paying  about £4 per month off the balance I at once cancelled the Lifestyle protection expecting my payments to make a larger dent in the balance>WRONG. They reduced my direct debit so on the last two bills I was paying less than Three pound per month off the balance at this rate it would have taken more years than I expect still to live to clear the balance circa 63 years. At once I transformed into a rate tart and moved the balance to Barclay card with the 20 moths intrest free I now can comfortably clear the whole balance in a matter of two years. So steer clear of this card I am sure my apr does not reflect the quote ( Nb I have a top credit rating ) Yes I should have been more careful I ceratinly am now
