If your travel plans were affected by the volcano, you might be able to win £1000!

Volcano-inflicted travel disruption was no fun for many people. One school teacher friend of mine was stuck in North Africa with her kids. Her biggest problem was that she running out of money, but she was also worrying about her A-level students. Her students were coming into school and not getting their final-term revision lessons from her.

Worse than that, a friend of a friend was stuck in Kenya with a fairly serious health problem that needed medical attention back in the UK. Thankfully, he's back home now and is on the mend.

That said, some people had a better time. A former colleague of mine was in New York and ended up flying down to Texas to visit some friends there while she waited for a plane back to Blighty.

Either way, if you too were stuck abroad, you might be able to win a bit of cash for your next holiday. The nice people at Travelex, the foreign exchange company, are running a little competition. Go to this facebook page and tell Travelex about your tale of woe. If Travelex think your story is the best, they'll give you £1000 to spend on your next holiday. Can't be bad......

ANYTHING YOU CAN DO, I CAN DO BETTER????

Our volcano still has snow from 10,000 ft to the crater!! Beautiful, majestic and peaceful he stands thirty miles away, a wonderful picture. We enjoy 28 degrees, "wall to wall" sunshine, fresh air, on the coast. WE JUST HOPE HE DOES NOT GET IDEAS!!!!
