Today's highlights include new and extended restaurant deals from All Bar One, Chiquito, Pizza Hut, Prezzo, GBK and Pizza Express. We also have two new supermarket voucher codes, half-price champagne, mis-shapen chocolate bargains, free tea samples and hundreds of cheap eats recipes!
Welcome to this week's edition of Frugal Food. We’ve got new and extended restaurant deals from All Bar One, Chiquito, Pizza Hut, Prezzo, GBK and Pizza Express.
We also have two new supermarket voucher codes, half-price champagne, mis-shapen chocolate bargains, free tea samples and hundreds of cheap eats recipes!
Best supermarket deals
This week, I’m going to start with the best deals at Tesco. New season strawberries (400g) are half-price at £1.95; and there’s also 50% off pairs of corn-on-the-cob.
If you want to try something a bit different, Gressingham Foods whole guinea fowl have been reduced from £5 to £2.50 each. And Ben & Jerry’s chocolate fudge brownie ice cream is still half-price at £2 a tub.
These Belgian chocolate profiterole bites have had their price slashed from £2.29 to just 60p; and finally, you can still get 36 McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes for £1.44 (half their normal price).
Over at Sainsbury’s, this Coeur de Lion camembert cheese is still half-price at 99p. There’s 50% off various pizzas as well, including ones from Pizza Express and Dr Oetker
Also at Sainsbury’s, Heinz mayonnaise (430g) is down from £1.99 to 99p.
Top deals at ASDA include punnets of nectarines reduced from £2 to £1, and Cathedral City Extra Mature Yet Mellow cheddar (400g) down from £4.37 to £2.
You can also pick up several varieties of Haagen Dazs (500ml) for £2, down from £3.97, and 100g jars of Café Parisien for £1.50 (usual price £3.25).
At Morrisons there are 2 for 1 deals on Rowntree’s Fruit Pastilles lollies, four-packs of Aero chocolate mousse, and C’arte Dor Vanilla ice cream.
And over at the Co-op, there are lots of good meat and poultry special offers to suit a barbecue.
NETTO deals include a 2 for 1 offer on six-packs of Sprite, Dr Pepper and Lilt. That means you can pick up 12 cans for £2.85. At NETTO you can also buy 300g jars of Nescafe Original for £4, and bumper 24-packs of Kit Kats for just £2.
At ALDI, current Super 6 fruit and veg deals include punnets of nectarines, three-packs of courgettes, whole pineapples and whole honeydew/galia melons - all for 69p each.
And finally, LIDL offers include Goodfella’s Thin pizzas for £1, whole cauliflower for 39p and 1kg of clementines for 99p.
Tipple
Half-price champagne is currently on offer in the Marks & Spencer wine sale. Cases of Louis Chaurey champagne are now £81 - which equates to £13.50 per bottle.

Cut price snacks
Check out these mis-shape chocolates from Thorntons online. Because they didn’t come out looking quite the way they were meant to, you can grab a 200g bag for just £1.99.
And tea fans should pop over to the Free Leaf website, which rounds up all the free tea samples currently on offer. At the moment you can bag Tetley, Twinings and Redbush samples, to name but a few.
You can still treat yourself on the cheap at Millie’s Cookies when you sign up to join the club here. You’ll be able to print off a voucher booklet worth £15 with offers including buy six cookies get six free, buy one get one free on treatboxes and two free cookies with any ice cream. The vouchers are valid until 31st October.
And you can still get a free cup of coffee at Giraffe just for turning up! Pop in to your nearest Giraffe on a Wednesday before 10.30am, and claim your free Americano, latte, cappuccino or herbal tea. This offer now runs until 29th September. Just remember that it’s only valid on classic-size, takeaway drinks, and is not valid at restaurants in airports.

You can now get £10 off your first online grocery shop at Sainsbury’s when you enter the code YB9X-NSJS-TJBZ at the checkout.
