Best supermarket deals
This week, I’m going to start with the best deals at ASDA. Packs of Cathedral City Extra Mature Yet Mellow cheddar (400g) have been reduced from £4.37 to £2.
And 900g tubs of ASDA own-brand ice cream are down from £1.78 to just £1. Finally, 100g jars of Nescafe Parisien coffee are now £1.50 (usual price £3.25).
At Tesco there are 2 for 1 deals on lots of sweet treats, including Soreen malt loaf, McVitie’s Jamaica ginger cake and boxes of mini muffins.
Romaine lettuces are currently 40p each (usually £1); and Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream (500ml) is still half-price at £2. Also at Tesco, 12-packs of McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes are down from £1.19 to just 50p.
Over at Sainsbury’s, there’s a 2 for 1 deal on several varieties of Ben & Jerry’s. You can also get six Yorkshire puddings for 49p (usual price 99p); and six-packs of McCoy’s crisps for 84p.
Top offers at Morrisons include an Indian meal deal for two: You get to choose an Indian starter, two mains and two side dishes - plus two bottles of Kingfisher beer - for £8. Just bear in mind that this deal only runs until 18th July.
At deep discounter LIDL, you can now get strawberries (400g) and raspberries (225g) for £1.49 a pack. Better still, you can get any two packs for £2.
And also at LIDL, you can currently get any four Muller Fruit Corners or Muller Rice for only £1.
Finally, at the Co-op, you can pick up 1l of Tropicana orange juice for £1.13 (usual price £2.26).
Tipple
You can get your hands on a free pint of Marston’s Pedigree when you register here and print the voucher.
The voucher will be valid all day, every day - at Marston’s Inns and Taverns - until 22nd July.

Cut price snacks
There are some great snack deals at 99p Stores this week. For example, you can currently pick up six Curly Wurly bars, four cans of Pepsi or 24 McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes - all for 99p each.
If you shop via Quidco, you can now get 10% off goodies from Hotel Chocolat - plus 10% cashback. All the details are here; just remember these offers are valid on non-sale items only.
You can treat yourself on the cheap at Millie’s Cookies when you sign up to join the club here. You’ll be able to print off a voucher booklet worth £15 with offers including buy six cookies get six free, buy one get one free on treatboxes and two free cookies with any ice cream. The vouchers are valid until 31st October.
And you can still get a free cup of coffee at Giraffe just for turning up! Pop in to your nearest Giraffe on a Wednesday before 10.30am, and claim your free Americano, latte, cappuccino or herbal tea. This offer now runs until 29th September. Just remember that it’s only valid on classic-size, takeaway drinks, and is not valid at restaurants in airports.

And finally... a new grocery contender?
Last week, Amazon launched its own grocery service, in a bid to take on giants like Tesco and ASDA. It is currently selling more than 22,000 grocery product lines - and that number is set to rise quickly. You can take a look at the new Amazon grocery store here.
Amazon has long been considered one of the cheapest places to buy new electronics and books. However, when it comes to food, it seems it doesn’t offer the best value for money.
