This week we bring you new meal deals from Café Rouge, ASK and Zizzi - and extended offers from Pizza Hut and Toby Carvery. There’s half-price puddings from Tesco, half-price sausages from Sainsbury’s, and 25% off wine at M&S. We also show you where to get posh chocolates for less. Finally, we have a new Tesco voucher code, and lots of fresh supermarket deals.

Every Friday, we round up the week's top food shopping bargains, supermarket vouchers and restaurant offers. If you register on lovemoney.com, you can follow this blog and find new posts as soon as they are published, via your personal homepage. Never miss a frugal food bargain again - register now.

Welcome to this week's Frugal Food blog post. Let's kick things off straight away with the best grocery deals around.

Best supermarket deals

This week, I'm going to start with the best deals at Tesco. Two-packs of Cadbury's hot sponge puddings have been reduced from £2 to £1. And there's a 2 for 1 deal on runner beans, which means you can now pick up two 225g packs for £1.50.

At Tesco you can also get 12 Muller Fruit Corner yoghurts for £3; and  wide range of Onken yoghurts (450g) have been reduced from around £1.18 to just 50p. Finally, a range of sweets are currently half-price, including Fox's Glacier Mints, Bassett's Liquorice Allsorts and Nestle Quality Street

Over at Sainsbury's, top deals include The Laughing Cow cheese (280g) which has been reduced from £1.88 to £1. The good 2 for 1 deal on fresh chicken thighs and drumsticks is still in place; and packs of Butcher's Choice sausages are still down from £1.99 to 99p per pack.

There are also 2 for 1 deals on several Pizza Express pizzas; and finally, there are 2 for 1 deals on loads of crisp multi-packs, including Wotsits, Skips, Monster Munch and Wheat Crunchies

At ASDA, McVitie's loaf cakes are usually around £1.08 each - but you can currently pick up two for just £1.

Peperami five-packs are still £1 - reduced from £2.35. And 100g Toblerones are still reduced from £1.09 to 50p.

Morrisons is currently selling boxes of Thorntons Premium Collection chocolates at more than 50% off - they're £5, reduced from £10.99.

And at Somerfield/The Co-operative, 700g bottles of Heinz ketchup are still £1 (reduced from £2.16); and 450g bottles of HP sauce are also still £1 (down from £2.15). Here you can also pick up 500g boxes of Shreddies for £1, reduced from £2.29.

Over at LIDL, bargains include six-packs of McCoy's crisps for 71p, 29p mangoes and 29p white cabbages

And finally, ALDI is selling 5kg of white potatoes for 69p, six-packs of kiwis for 39p and 500g of broccoli for 49p.

There are sometimes much better deals on offer at street markets and independent shops than there are at the supermarkets. Unfortunately, their local nature makes it impossible for us to cover them properly here.

If you've come across a great food deal at your local market, please do leave a comment at the bottom of the article letting us know. That way, fellow readers in your local area can take advantage of the offer you've flagged up. Thanks!

Tipple

At Majestic Wine, you can currently save 25% when you buy any two bottles of South African wine

And over at Marks & Spencer, you can currently get 25% off cases of South American wine.

sorry to be such a dampener, but such a lot of the 'bargains' are rubbish food that is only really fit for a skip, or is it me?
