Aldi 

This week’s Super 6 offer includes Chantenay carrots, white cabbage, little gem lettuce (two-pack), spring onions, lemons (three–pack) and celery, all for only 49p each. Offers end 9th March.

Asda

Top offers this week include Seriously Strong White Cheddar (350g) at two for £4 (was £3.50 each), Cathedral City Mature Cheddar (600g) for £4 (was £6.48), Golden Delicious Apples (750g) for £1.35 (was £1.60) and Baby Pearl Potatoes (750g) for £1.27 (was £1.50).

You can also fill your cupboards with Heinz Baked Beanz in Tomato Sauce (4x415g) for £2 (was £2.50), Knorr Simply Stock Chicken (450ml) for £1 (was £1.20), Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise (600g) for £2 (was £2.50), Asda Chosen by You Black Spanish Olives Sliced (180g) for 64p (was 76p) and Blue Dragon Thai Green Curry Paste (285g) for £1.68 (was £1.98).

Lidl

This weekend only these items are half price: 1.5kg of fresh oranges (now 84p), 1L Solevita juice (now 34p), five-pack Jean Pierre Croissants (now 49p) and Knightsbridge 160 tea bags (now 99p). Other deals include British boneless pork leg joints for £2.99 (was £5.98), 12 Scotch beef meatballs for £1.39 (was £1.69), 1kg of baby potatoes for 79p (was £1.09), 1.5L of Vitafit for 99p (was £1.14).

Marks & Spencer

This weekend at Marks & Spencer the dine in offer is for four for Mother's Day and costs £15. Pick a main (options include beef, whole chicken, ready to roast lamb and salmon fillets), side, dessert and bottle of wine. You can see the full menu here.

Morrisons

Get your Sunday lunch sorted with half-price whole British chickens (now £1.85/kg), half-price cod loins (now £8.99/kg) and £3 off fresh British silverside beef joints (now £7/kg). Or, for something quick and easy, M Takeaway Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikka Masala are also half-price (now £1.75 each). Caffeine fiends can save on Kenco Millicano (now costing from £1.64) and as a treat for mum, get a Maltesers Box for £1, Cadbury Roses 350g for £3 and Cadbury Milk Tray 600g for £5.

Cheap tipples

In the wine clearance at Marks & Spencer you save an extra 15% when you buy any two cases, while in-store at Waitrose you can save a third on selected wines this week including Ara Sauvignon Blanc (now £6.66), Hardys Crest Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc (now £5.49) and Pascal Bouchard Chablis 2011 (now £9.99). You save a further 5% when you add six or more bottles to your grocery order.

Online at Tesco Wine this week you can save 25% on Italian fine wines such as Valpolicella Classico Superiore Verjago (now £90 per case) and Castello Banfi, Rosso di Montalcino D.O.C 2009 (now £57.60 per case). There are also over 50 wines with at least 50% off and, if you spend £50 or more, you get free delivery.

If it’s spirits you’re after top offers include Bombay Sapphire Distilled London Dry Gin (1L) for £18.70 (was £28.70) and Stolichnaya Russian Vodka (700ml) for £13.50 (was £19.70) at Ocado, and Jack Daniel's (700ml) for £18 (was £26), Disaronno Amaretto (500ml) for £13 (was £15) and 2 for £24 Captain Morgan Spiced Dark Rum (700ml), all at Tesco.
