Best supermarket deals

Aldi

Aldi's Super Six this week are; iceberg lettuces, savoy cabbages, 1kg of carrots, 350g of celery, 1kg of onions and 350g of broccoli – all for 39p each! Ends 29th September.

Asda

Stock your shelves with some handy cheats at Asda this week with Gia Purees (chilli, tomato and garlic, sundried tomato) for 86p (costs 96p in other supermarkets). Asda is also cheapest for Marigold Swiss Vegetable Bouillon Powder at £1.78 (£1.99 elsewhere) and Crisp 'n Dry Vegetable Oil (2L) at £2 (up to £3.49 elsewhere).

Top multibuy offers include two for £4 on Whole Earth Organic Peanut Butter 340g (was £2.42 each), two for £3 on rhubarb 400g (was £1.80 each), two for £2 on baby leeks 175g (was £1.20 each), two for £7 on various 1.37kg Whole Chickens (was £4.51 each) and two for £6 on Asda Butcher's Selection Boneless Easy Carve Pork Shoulder Joint 700g (was £3.50 each).

Lidl

Half-price this weekend at Lidl are 300g of pork loin medallions (now £1.29), 1kg of onions (now 34p), Options Hot Chocolate Drink (now £1.59) and Sondey Butter Biscuits (now 43p).

Morrisons

The best offers at Morrisons this week are all just £1 each – pick up Countrylife Butter, Flora 500g, Premier Deli Corned Beef, M Kitchen Tiramisu and Glorious Skinny Soup.

Or fill the kid’s lunchboxes with Philadelphia tubs, Dairylea Dunkers (4-packs), Fresh Collection Chicken/Bacon/Sweetcorn Filler, Morrisons Wafer Thin Cooked Ham (200g) and Munch Bunch Double Up (4-packs).

Ocado

Ocado is offering Young's 100% Fillet Fish Fingers with Omega 3 (20 per pack) for £1.99 (was £3.99), Richmond Irish Recipe Thick Sausages (eight per pack) for £1.04 (was £2.08),Waitrose Free Range Chicken Legs (two per pack) for £1.68 (was £5.29) and Waitrose Free Range Hampshire Pork Meatballs (12 per pack) for £1.99 (was £2.99).

Tesco is also giving existing customers £20 to spend on groceries when they shop online two times before 19th October, spending £40 or more each time.

Waitrose

It’s Dine in for £10 time at Waitrose so you can pick a main, side, starter or dessert, plus a bottle of wine or a box of chocolates, all for £10. Other deals include three for two on cereal including Jordans Crunchy Crisp (500g) at £2.69 and Alpen Muesli (1.5Kg) at £3.69.

Westin Gourmet

Finally, check out the special offers this week from online gourmet butcher Westin Gourmet which includes 15% off unsmoked streaky bacon (now £10.17 for a 2.27kg pack) and 18% off Danish pork loin (now £7.26 for 4 x 7-9oz steaks).

Before you hit the supermarkets, check for any money-saving coupons:

• Use this voucher for £2 off a 24 pack of either Coca-Cola or Diet Coke from your nearest BP station, valid until 8th October.
• Save 30p on a loaf of Kingsmill Crusts Away with this voucher, expires 31st October.
• Or, knock 50p off McCain Roast Potatoes instead, expiring 31st October 2012.

As part of the Tesco Wine Festival, you can already grab half-price bottles. But if you buy six bottles or more, you save another 25%. Note that this isn’t on offer in Scottish stores and is available for deliveries up to 25th September only.

At M&S you save 20% on award winning wines and at Morrisons look out for various spirits reduced to £15 each including Morgan’s Spiced Rum 1L, Smirnoff Vodka 1L, Gordon’s Gin 1L and Southern Comfort 70cl.
