Best supermarket deals

Marks & Spencer

It’s meal deal time at Marks & Spencer so two can dine in for £10 and as always you get a main, side, dessert and bottle of plonk for only £10. The mains aren’t too exciting this time but options include Seafood Casserole, Ready To Roast Gammon and the Grill Lazy Beer Can 1/2 Spatchcock Chicken. See the full menu here. For M&S Food to Order, save £5 when you spend £30 using the code SUMMSAV5, expires midnight 31st July 2012 and excludes food and wine gifts and wine club.

Tesco

All of these items have been reduced to under £1 – Discovery Tortillas 8-packs, now 74p (was £1.49), Angelo Vermicelli Nests 500g, now 69p (was £1.39), Nishaan Chakki Roti Chapattis 6-packs, now 59p (was £1.19) and Princes Premium Hot Dogs (8 per tin), now 74p (was £1.89). Pick up Tesco Smoked Mackerel Fillets with Crushed Peppercorns for £2.69 (was £9.97), Kintyre Breaded Scampi 235g for £1.50 (was £4), 20-packs of Maysum Meat Samosas for £2.49 (was £4.99) and half-price Tesco Finest Pork and Apple Sausages ten-packs, now £2.10 and half-price frozen Tesco Finest Jumbo King Prawns, now £2.50.

Shop three times at Tesco and you’ll be given 300 extra Clubcard points on each shop when you use these codes – XXLRNF for 1st shop, XXYRYP for 2nd shop and XXL7MH for 3rd shop – for orders delivered before 31st August 2012. If you complete all three shops, you’ll be rewarded with an extra 600 points, totaling 1500 Clubcard points, worth up to £60 if you exchange them for Clubcard rewards!

Sainsbury’s

Grab some half-price bargains this weekend with Wall's Carte D'Or Vanilla Ice Cream for £1.74 (was £3.49), Birds Eye Chicken Nuggets (36 per pack) for £2.49 (was £4.99), Taste the Difference Moroccan Cous Cous 460g for £2 (was £4), Walkers Doritos Variety 12-packs for £1.59 (was £3.19), 8-packs of Tracker Bars, 6-packs of Polo Mints and Red Sky West 150g bags, all for £1 each (was £1.99).

Dairy deals include 15 Noble Foods Family Free Range Eggs for £2.50 (was £3.09), Country Life English Butter 500g for £1 (was £1.50), Sainsbury’s Butterlicious Spread 1kg for £1.79 (was £2.29) and 4 Belgian Chocolate Eclairs for £1 (was £1.40). And, buy 440g of Taste the Difference British Beef Meatballs for £2 (was £3.29), Sainsbury's Medium Coarse Ardennes Pâté and Brussels Pâté for £1 (was £1.39).

Asda

Save more money in the freezer section with Chosen by You Lamb Chops 800g for £4 (was £4.50), Pollock Portions 368g for £1.48 (was £1.65) and 2L Easy Scoop Cornish Vanilla Ice Cream for £2.47 (was £2.99). And for your cupboards look for a massive 15L of KTC vegetable cooking oil for £14 (was £14.50), crab and salmon pastes for 39p each (was 43p), Asda Starting Right cereal for £1.60 (was £1.78) and 2 for £5 on East End 2kg packs of various pulses (usually £3.50 each).

Lidl

The four half-price weekend deals at Lidl are: smoked black forest ham slices for 99p, 1.5kg of fresh new potatoes for 74p, Amanie milk chocolate biscuits for 99p and 100% Arabica coffee for £2.24 – all available on Saturday and Sunday only. You can also buy aubergines for 49p, three-packs of mixed peppers for 99p, Dutch Edam slices for 1.59, 1L Guava and Lychee Rubicon for 99p and Weetabix (36 pack) for £2.25.

Morrisons

This week its two for £1 on own-brand white toastie/wholemeal 800g loaves of bread, three for £1 on nectarines and peaches, 50% off Maxwell House Coffee Granules 200g at £2.19, 50% off beef frying steaks at £5.50/kg,  BOGOF on Walls Unsmoked Back Bacon (usually £3 each), 50% off Seriously Strong Cheddar 350g at £2.24, 2 for £6 on Ben & Jerrys Ice Cream 500ml (excludes Core Varieties) and a trial price of only £1 for Morrisons 1L NUME Vanilla ice-cream.

Ocado

First time Ocado shoppers can use VOU1304996 for £10 off first orders over £50 (expires 31st Dec). There is also a new Ocado Summer Sale with up to 50% off until 16th August.

Westin Gourmet

Finally, check out the special offers this week from online gourmet butcher Westin Gourmet which includes 15% off 450g packs of 100% British ham, now £5.64 per pack, 11% off 5kg packs of chicken breast fillets, now £28.80, and 18% off 2kg boneless legs of lamb, now £31.50.

Before you hit the supermarkets, check for any money-saving coupons:

• Save a handy £1.50 on 1 litre cartons of Funkin Cocktail Mixers from Sainsbury’s. The coupon scans at the checkout, expires 31st July 2012.
