Best supermarket deals

This week we’re going to kick off with the latest Dine in for Two for £10 offer at Marks & Spencer. Available mains are whole Oakham chicken, marinated salmon with soy and ginger and ready to roast gammon with parsley sauce. Wines on offer include Razo de la Cruz Rosado, Cotes du Rhone, Garganega Pinot Grigio and Chez Pierre Red or White. See the full menu here. The Dine in for Two offer is valid until Tuesday 18th October.

At Sainsbury’s Heinz fans have a lot of deals to choose from this week, including six for £4 on 400g soups (usually 82p each), three for £3 on Heinz Farmers Market soups (usually £1.09 each), Heinz Breakfast Fruit with Yoghurt for babies for £1.50 (usually £2.15 each) and Heinz juice with spring water for £1 (usually £1.79 each).

Bargain hunters can also enjoy BOGOF on selected fruit and veg (for delivery by 1st November); Cox apples, green dessert pears, large mangoes, extra sweet pineapples and extra trimmed leeks (which are all usually £2), home ripening plums (usually £1), red dessert apples (£1.50), satsumas (£2.19), Brussel sprouts (£1.30) and asparagus spears (£3).

And if you love salmon, Taste the Difference smoked salmon parcels are reduced from £3.09 to £2.59, 120g packs of oak smoked salmon, birch and juniper smoked salmon packs are reduced from £4.79 to £4 and honey roasted Scottish salmon flakes are reduced from £3.39 to £2.89.

Over at Tesco, look out for more Big Price Drop bargains such as 750g of sweet potatoes for £1.50 (was £2), medium (1.6kg) whole chickens for £4 (was £5), 500g of beef mince for £1.80 (was £2.20), 6 pints of milk for just £1.85 (was £1.99), Tesco Dutch gouda for £1.84 (was £2), Tesco Angel Slices for 90p (was £1), 1kg of Tesco sultanas for £2.66 (was £2.87) and various types of pasta for 70p (was 89p).

There are lots of £1 veggies and fruit at ASDA right now including plum punnets (was £1.47), six oranges (was £1.50), Fresh Taste carrot batons (was £1.67), 2.5kg of Maris Pipers (was £1.74), twin-pack sweetcorn (was £2.50) and 1kg of red onions (was £1.24).

You can also buy 500g of Flora Pro-Activ Olive for £3.40 (was £3.78), 500g of Lurpack for £2 (was £2.98), 400g of Lake District Cheese Co cheddar for £2 (was £4), Mattessons smoked pork sausage for £1 (was £1.70), Haagen Dazs ice cream for £2 (was £4.15), four tins of Branston Baked Beans for £1 (was £2), Colman’s sauces for £1 (was £1.38), Oxo beef stock cubes for £1 (was £1.97) and Clipper teabags for £1.15 (was £1.50).

The special buys at Aldi includes 50p off 100% lamb chops (now £2.99) and pork steaks (now £2.49), beef roasting joints for £5.49 per kg, Weight Watchers sauces for 99p, Bernard Matthews ham and cheese escalopes for £1.29, Chai Experts chai lattte sachets for £1.59, Ainsley Harriott dinner kits for £1.99 and lots of Indian treats such as Indian-style dipping sauces for 99p, Indian curry oils for £1.29, mini naan breads for 79p and chapattis for 69p per pack.

And of course, don’t miss the Super Six at Aldi with cucumbers, three onions,  500g of parsnips, 1kg of new potatoes, cabbages and swedes, all for a mere 39p each!

The four half-price weekend deals at LIDL this time are 700g of fresh pork chops, reduced to £1.89, 750g of red onions for 33p, 18 variety packs of Hula Hoops for £1.49 and Caring or Time Control moisturizing cream for 99p. Available this Saturday and Sunday only.

You can also buy 1kg of carrots for 39p, 750g of leeks for 79p, twin-packs of back bacon for £1.99, 1kg of chicken leg quarters for £1.89, 500g of cured pork loin for £3.29, 500g of Utterly Butterly for 89p, 200g of Wensleydale with cranberries for £1.09 and lots of Christmas treats on offer – look out for Favorina products such as Panettone for £3.99, 2 for £3.50 on gingerbread iced biscuits, mini stollen for £1.99 and 2 for £2 on spiced biscuits.

Finally, check out the 5 special offers this week from online gourmet butcher Westin Gourmet which includes 19% off Choice Grade USDA Ribeye steaks (now two 8/9oz for £17.34), 15% off diced chicken breast fillets (now £4.23 for 500g), 17% off pork spare ribs (now £3.36 for 600g) and 36% off corn-fed chicken (now £9.08 for a 1.5kg bird).

Pop into your local ASDA this weekend where you can buy various top wines on offer including Ernest & Julio Gallo Cabernet Sauvignon California and Family Vineyards Chardonnay for £5 (was £6.48), Stormhoek Cabernet Sauvignon South Africa and Chardonnay Pinot Grigio for £4 (was £6.20), French Connection Special Reserve Merlot and Chardonnay for £4 (was £7.98).

If you want to splash out, champagne treats at Sainsbury’s include Antoine Clevecy Champagne Brut for £12 (was £29.99), De Laurency Brut Champagne for £17.99 (was £29.99), Etienne Dumont Brut NV Champagne for £12 (was £31.99), Laurent-Perrier Cuvee Champagne Brut Rosé for £44.99 (was £54.99), Moët & Chandon Brut Imperial Non Vintage for £15.08 (was £17.58) and Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Vintage Champagne for £19.99 (was £25.99).

Cut-price snacks

It’s time for free Greggs food again this week with the Daily Star – today it’s a doughnut up for grabs and with tomorrow’s paper you get a voucher entitling you to a free muffin. Find your nearest Greggs on the website (top right search box).

To celebrate National Chocolate Week Thorntons is offering 5 boxes of chocs for £20 – take your pick from these – and get 3 for 2 on Halloween and Christmas treats.

Don’t forget Subway now offers 6 inch sub sandwiches with a medium drink for only £3. This offer is available everyday with no need for a voucher. The subs you can choose from are chicken tikka, meatball marinara, turkey breast and ham, Italian B.M.T, tuna, ham, spicy Italian or veggie delite.

Burger King vouchers are still available saving you up to £20. There are BOGOF vouchers for Whoppers and Bacon Double Cheeseburgers, Chicken Tendercrisp and Chicken Royales, Wraps, Angus burgers, large King Nuggets and BK Fusions. Plus get a kid's meal for only £1.99 and free fries and drink with an adult burger. All vouchers are valid until 1st November.

Voucher codes

This week at Whittard you get 20% off all freshly roasted coffees and loose leaf teas with the code 20WCF which is valid until 2pm Monday 17th October.

Over at Hotel Chocolat you get 10% off orders with a code from Myvouchercodes – enter MYVCSPOOK11 at the checkout before 16th October and stock up for Halloween.

From last week…Dominos fans can save £10 when they spend £30 online using the code VKYQJYLM at the checkout. Or, get £5 off a £20 spend using the code MTAQUYBK. Both codes are valid until midnight Sunday 16th October.

There is also a new code for Pizza Hut Delivery saving you 50% when you spend £35 using the code VCHP11WJB which is valid until 27th November (excludes drinks and ice-cream). But don’t forget there are some older codes still going so use the right one for your order - use VCPZDELDQ for 2 for 1 pizzas with a side (add all the items to your basket first), VCP9W4YDH for 25% off orders over £25. There is also VCFP11TTS for £10 off orders from the full price menu over £25 which can be used on sides, desserts and drinks.

Elsewhere you can get 25% off when you spend £25 at Papa Johns with PJES25OFF. Also, for the weekends only (Friday to Sunday), buy an XL pizza and get a free side order with code AAPJWTPXS and if it’s your first order, you can save 33% with code AALDN33.

If you’re a new Tesco grocery shoppers enter the code XX3PKK when you spend at least £50 and you’ll earn 1,000 Clubcard points (offer ends 31st October). You can also use the code XXXNGP at the checkout (valid until 30th September) for £10 off when you spend £50 on groceries at Tesco as a new customer, but remember that certain items - including wine by the case, tobacco, infant milk formulae and prescription medicines - are not eligible for the discount.

New Ocado shoppers can still save £15 when they spend at least £75 and use the code VOU1146975, which is valid until 30th November.
