Best supermarket deals
This week we’re going to kick off with the best buys at NETTO’s including a 500g of Utterly Butterly for £1, Robinsons orange and pineapple on a 2 for £1 deal (usually 59p each), Lloyd Grossman sauces for £1, Patak’s Madras and Jalfrezi sauces for £1, 8-packs of Kit Kat Chunky for £2 each, a 2kg chicken for £3.48 (saving you £1), BOGOF on Nestle Rolo desserts (only £1) and 2 litre bottles of Fanta Fruit Twist or Lemon, or 1.25 litre Diet Coke and Coca Cola bottles all for £2 each.
At Tesco you can jazz up your weekend fry up with some Rankin Irish Brown Soda Bread for £1 (was £1.20), organic chestnut mushrooms for £1 (was £1.20) and buy two packs of Tesco Finest Oak Smoked Dry Cure Streaky Bacon Rashers (16 per pack) for £4, saving you £1.16. There are some great deals on your five-a-day too; grab a punnet of ‘ripen at home’ peaches for £1, saving you a not too shabby £2.29, organic blueberries for £2.49, saving you £1, Tesco ‘Perfectly Ripe’ Haas avocadoes for £1, also saving you £1, and organic watermelons for £2.99, saving you 80p.
Fruit and veg bargains over at Sainsbury’s include ‘Ripe and Ready’ yellow flesh nectarines for £2 (was £4), Taste the Difference apples, with 50p off a bag of 5 at £2 and runner beans for £1 (was £1.50).
You can also buy 200g of Taste the Difference Mature Wookey Hole Cave Aged Farmhouse Cheddar for only £2, saving you 75p, or for a bit of blue, Castello Extra Creamy Danish Blue (125g) is reduced from £1.38 to £1 and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream tubs are reduced from £4.49 to £2.24.
This week’s Super 6 at Aldi includes 8-packs of kiwi fruit, packs of nectarines/peaches (four or five per pack), 250g of runner beans, 1.5kg of new potatoes, 125g of blueberries and melons – all for a mega cheap 69p each! You can also save 50p on 700g of British pork chops, now £2.99 per pack and get £2 off 1kg of chicken breast fillets, now £4.99.
Finally, online gourmet butcher Westin Gourmet has 5 special offers available today, and if you spend over £60 before midnight tonight you can claim either 6x Gammon Steaks worth £8.61 for free (use code FREEGM), 2x Hereford Sirloin Steaks worth £10.80 for free (use code FREEHS), 2x 9oz Barnsley Chops worth £9.03 for free (use code FREEBC) or a whole Corn-Fed Chicken worth £15.07 for free (use code FREECK). ASDA is still offering booze bargains, including Malibu Caribbean white rum for £11 (was £13.99), a 1L bottle of Bacardi Superior white rum for £16 (was £20.97), 6 x 275ml bottles of Kronenbourg lager for £4 (was £5), 24 bottles of Beck’s Bier for £13 (was £15.48).
At Marks and Spencer get free delivery on wine orders with the code FREEDLWN. Check out the August case of the month – costing only £55 (worth £81.88) for 12 bottles. As usual you can also save up to 30% on the deals of the month – for August that means a case of Moonbridge Riesling 2009 (6 bottles) for £31.45, was £41.94, a case of Burra Brook Shiraz 2010 for £29.94, was £41.94.

Over on the Beforeishop website you can get coupons for 50p off Blue Dragon Curry Pastes (ends 30th August), 50p off Dole Fruit Jelly (ends 25th November) and £1 off Plum Baby's organic yoghurts (ends 21st August).
Whitby Seafoods is offering 30p off your next purchase with this voucher which you can take to your nearest Tesco, Sainsbury’s and ASDA, valid until 30th September.
You can also save 50p on Vimto Still, Fizzy or Cherry when you ‘Like’ them on the Facebook page and go to the ‘Seriously Mixed Up tab’.
And, get 50p off Frank’s RedHot Sauce with this voucher which you need to print off and post. Or try Newman’s Own BBQ sauces and marinades instead and get 30p off when you click on the coupon here.
Voucher codes
A new code for groceries at Tesco this week will save new customers £15 when they spend at least £50 – enter XXL4CR at the checkout before it expires on Sunday 14th August. After that date you can still get £10 off your first grocery order over £50 at Tesco when you use the code XXAFFT until 31st August but remember that certain items - including wine by the case, tobacco, infant milk formulae and prescription medicines - are not eligible for the discount.
Another new code is herbal for 25% off tea orders at Birt and Tang, expires 21st August.
And, get 15% off any order at Moko Chocolates with the code AG15 which expires 1st September.
You can also get 2 for 1 pizzas at Pizza Hut with free delivery when you buy any side and enter the code VCPFREENZ.
Ongoing codes from last week are available for Pizza Hut too – one for 25% off orders over £20 at using the code VCP7W4TRS and another for £10 off orders over £25 using VCTENP7NX, both of which expire 21st August.
Other pizza codes include 25% off when you spend £25 at Papa Johns with PJES25OFF, also for the weekends only (Friday to Sunday), buy an XL pizza and get a free side order with code AAPJWTPXS and if it’s your first order, you can save 33% with code AALDN33.

New Ocado shoppers can save £15 when they spend at least £75 and use the code VOU1146975, which is valid until 30th November.
