Welcome to this week's edition of Frugal Food. We’ve got new and extended restaurant deals from Pizza Express, Pizza Hut, Crown Carveries, The Real Greek, ASK, Zizzi and Slug and Lettuce. Plus, it’s the M&S Dine in for Two for £10 deal again, you can save on spirits at ASDA, get 50p off Sacla and try to win free Cravendale milk today. There is a new code for 50% off at Pizza Hut Delivery this weekend, Sainsbury’s is offering free white goods recycling worth £9.99 for a limited time only, it’s your last chance to grab a free cocktail and there are free bags of Walker’s Sensations and Rice Krispies Squares up for grabs!

Best supermarket deals
This week we’re going to kick off with the new Dine in for Two for £10 offer at Marks & Spencer. Top mains include a ready to roast gammon, marinated salmon and goats cheese and pesto encroute. For pud try the profiterole stack, crème brulee and Jubilee strawberries. See the full menu here. The Dine in for Two offer is valid until Tuesday 2nd August.
At LIDL top half-price deals this weekend only include 300g packs of pork loin medallions for £1.39, 400g of Valley Spire cheddar cheese for £1.34, 1kg of nectarines for 99p and a 6-pack of McCoys for 85p. Other deals include fresh pointed cabbages for 39p (was 59p each), 700g of breaded chicken goujons for £2.79, a twin-pack of chorizo for £1.69 (was £1.89), 500g tubs of olive spread for 89p (was £1.09). Vitafit multivitamin fruit juices have been reduced from 99p to 89p, the 1.5L cartons of apple juice are also on offer at 89p (was £1.12) and if you want grape juice it’s only 75p (was 85p).
Don’t miss the top food bargains at Sainsbury’s with 50% off Lucozade Sport Orange (4 x 500ml) now £1.84, Taste the Difference raw jumbo king prawns now £2.50, and salmon fillets with skin on now £5. Look out for 2 for £5 deals on Taste the Difference oak smoked bacon (usually £2.85 each) and various frozen packs of fish such as breaded haddock fillets, Scottish cooked mussels and tuna steaks (two per pack and all usually £3 each).
Lots of multipacks of Walkers crisps are on offer too – you can buy three bags of 6-packs for £3.50 and options include Walkers Crinkles (usually £1.52 each), Walkers Sunbites (usually £1.59 each) and Doritos (usually £1.44 each).
Over at Tesco Jacob’s Iced Gems are on a 2 for £2 deal (6 packs per bag), Rowntree's Randoms Sharing Bags are £1, saving you 55p, and you can also buy various bags of sweets for £1 including Mike & Ike Tropical Typhoon (was £1.28), Maynards Sports Mixture (was £1.48), Rowntree’s Jelly Aliens (was £1.55) and Haribo Starmix (was £1.39).
You can also mix and match any two packs of either Castelli Maxi Mozzarella (usually £1.75) or Tesco Mozzarella for Pizza (usually £1.65) for £2 and Lawrence Dallaglio pasta sauces have been reduced from £1.99 to £1.32 – choose from tomato, mozzarella and basil, chilli and garlic and Bolognese red wine sauce. Team it with some Napolina spaghetti (1kg), reduced from £2.19 to £1, Napolina whole wheat fusilli (500g), reduced from £1.49 to £1 and Tesco fusilli pasta twists (1kg), reduced from £1.35 to £1.20.
Also, it’s 2 for £4 on packs of Cheestrings (usually £2.28 each), Mini Babybel (usually £2.87 each) and Dairylea Strip Cheese (usually £2.24 each) at ASDA. It’s also 2 for £2 on Oasis drinks (choose from Citrus Punch flavour, Summer Fruits and Summer Fruits Extra Light) which usually cost £1.78 each.
And, for a round pound you can buy ASDA garlic and herb dough balls (was £1.42), four limes or lemons (usually 30p each), five Snickers (was £1.73) and various McVities cakes including Fruit Cake, Golden Syrup Cake and Jamaica Ginger Cake (all usually £1.30 each).
Finally, this week, you can get 8 ounce steaks for £5.50 (instead of £6.48) from Westin Gourmet, along with 250g of gourmet diced chicken breasts for £1.99 (normally £2.74).
Tipple
ASDA is offering some great deals on booze this week including Bell’s Original Scotch Whisky (1L) for £16, was £21.98, You can also buy two 350ml bottles of various spirits for £12 including Tia Maria Liqueur, usually £7.97 each, Smirnoff Red Label Vodka, usually £7 each and Lamb’s Navy Rum, usually £8.56 each.
If you want Gordon’s Special Dry London Gin (700ml) instead head to Sainsbury’s where it costs £11.34 (was £14.29) and while you’re there pick up some wine bargains.
You can buy Makutu Bay Sauvignon Blanc for £5.49 (was £10.99), Inycon Selezione Pinot Grigio Sauvignon for £4.99 (was £8.99) and Ernest & Julio Gallo Turning Leaf Pinot Grigio California for £5 (was £7.79). Or for red, Blossom Hill Merlot for £5 (was £6.27), Campo al Moro Chianti Classico for £6.65 (was £9.99) and Carta Roja Gran Reserva for £5.99 (was £11.99).
And, this is your last chance to get a free cocktail when you register with Pitcher and Piano. Options include Tropical Fruit Smash, Summer Blush, Twisted Pimm's, Grand Punch or Citrus Crush (if you don’t like cocktails you can also use the voucher to buy cider or rose). At Whittard you can save 10% on your first order with the code AF10F.
