Best supermarket deals
This week we’re going to kick off with a new Dine in for Two for £10 offer at Marks & Spencer. Choose from various mains including medium chicken, ready to roast beef, haddock gratin, lasagna and salmon with tomato and herb. Most of the usual desserts are included – strawberrry jelly trifle, New York cheesecake slices, puff pastry apple pie – as well as berry terrine and a raspberry and blueberry pack. See the full menu here. The Dine in for Two offer is valid until Tuesday 19th July.
Over in the dairy section in Sainsbury’s 1L of Moo Organic Semi Skimmed UHT Milk is 52p (was 79p), Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Orkney Mature Cheddar (400g) is £3 (was £3.99), Butlers Blacksticks Blue Cheese (150g) is £1.50 (was £1.88) and Muller Rice pots are only £2 (was £3.29) – choose from Strawberry and Original, Raspberry & Apple and Vanilla Custard & Smooth Toffee Dessert.
For just £1 you can buy Taste the Difference cookies, saving you 45p, a 5-pack of Snickers bars, saving you 73p, Somerset Brie, saving you 79p, or Nestle Aero Mousses, saving you 19p. After news that Jamie Oliver is stepping down as the face of Sainsbury’s there are BOGOF deals on his products including pasta sauces (usually £1.97 each), penne (usually £1.55 each) spaghetti (usually £1.64 each) and pesto (usually £2.18 each).
ASDA is selling its own-brand Extra Special Tomato & Mozzarella pizza for only £2, saving you £1.48 and Kellogg's Rice Krispies Squares have also been reduced from £2.86 to £2 (eight in a pack).
For healthy snacks, you can buy Kallo Organic Original Thick Wholegrain Rice Cakes for just 50p (they cost 98p in other supermarkets) and grab 500g of Alpro Soya Natural Yoghurt for £1, down from £1.37. Lastly, Carte Noire Decaffeinated Coffee (100g) has £1.09 off at ASDA, costing only £2, but if you can’t do without the caffeine, Carte_Noire_Expresso_Instant_Coffee_Powder (100g) is only £2, saving you 74p.
At Ocado you can save £1.25 when you buy two jars of Bonne Maman Bitter Orange Marmalade – these are normally a pricey £1.88 each but with this deal you get both for £2.51. Packs of Ghillie & Glen Scottish Oak Smoked Salmon (200g) are on offer too costing only £3.99 each, down from £5.99.
If you fancy some posh ice-cream buy any two 500ml tubs of Green & Blacks for £6 (usually up to £4.27 each) with flavours such as Vanilla Caramel & Nut, White Chocolate & Raspberry and Strawberry to choose from.
And, look out for the new Ocado meal deals; you can buy wine, cheese and crackers and save £5.27, or buy two Thai Green Chicken Stews and two Singha Thai Beers and save £2.35 – both offers are valid until 19th July.
Tesco best buys include Twinings Aromatics Chai Tea Bags (50 per pack) which are on a 2 for £3 offer (at ASDA it’s 2 for £4) and Carr’s Selection Box (200g) for £1.50, was £2.39, or if you don’t mind paying a few pence more you can buy 300g of Tesco Finest Biscuits for Cheese for £1.78, was £2.38.
Various Tesco Organic vegetables are on offer including baby corn and celery (both reduced from £1.50 to £1.20), broccoli (reduced from £1.40 to £1), chestnut mushrooms (reduced from £1.20 to £1) and courgettes (reduced from £2 to £1.50 for three).
LIDL shoppers can grab a 400g pack of unsmoked middle bacon rashers for £1.59 (20p off), cucumber for 49p (20p off), 250g of cherry tomatoes (half-price at 39p) and this weekend only, get 12 beef meatballs for 84p (was £1.69) and fresh vine tomatoes for 99p (was £1.99). You can also buy Bernard Matthews Turkey Breast Joints for £2.99, Weetabix Toy Story cereal packs for 99p, Vitafit orange juice for 99p (was £1.29) and 300g of KP dry roasted peanuts for 89p (was £1.24).
Finally, at online butcher Westin Gourmet there are several offers which end on Monday 18th July, including 18% off a 2.27kg pack of Gourmet 100% British Beef Burgers 8oz, reduced from £18.10 to £14.98 and 21% off British Pork Chops, reduced from £1.43 to £1.13 per chop.
Tipple
At Tesco supermarket Freixenet Vintage Especial Brut has £7 off, now reduced to £6.99 and Isla Negra Brut has £6.50 off, now only £6.49. You can also try some Crabbie's Green Ginger Wine (700ml) for £3.99 (was £5.49) or Taylor's First Estate Reserve Port for £8.95 (was £10.95).
Also, over at Tesco Wine you can save 50% on cases of Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne (now £85.44), Orso Pinot Grigio (now £27), The Post Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc (now £30), Earthwise Chardonnay (now £33) and Old Renwick Road Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc (now £45).
Finally at Majestic Wine it’s your last chance to save 20% when you buy any two bottles of Beaujolais, Chilean wine, Australian wine, Italian wine and New Zealand wine – offers end 18th July.
