Welcome to this week's edition of Frugal Food. We’ve got new and extended restaurant deals from GBK, Pizza Express, Henry’s Café Bar, YO! Sushi, Handmade Burger Co and Zizzi. We’ve also got Dine in for 4 for £15 at M&S, £1 Goodfella’s pizzas, fantastic BOGOF offers at the Co-op, 25% off wine at Ocado, 20% off Easter gifts at Whittard, 10% off at both Hotel Chocolat and Moko Chocolates, and £5 off at the Co-op!

Best supermarket deals

This week, we’re going to kick off with a great little twist on the usual M&S Dine in for Two for £10 deal – this time it’s Dine in for Four for £15 for Mother’s Day which includes the usual main, side, dessert and wine but there’s enough for four of you! Mains include half a leg of lamb, salmon joint and ready to roast beef. The deal is available until Sunday 3 April.

This weekend’s top half-price deals at LIDL include a fresh large cucumber for 50p and 480g of pork loin streaks for £1.49. Otherwise look out for 59p mangos, mozzarella/camembert in breadcrumbs for £1.69, down from £2.15 per pack, and 3 Trattoria Alfredo pizzas for £2.19, down from £2.89 per pack.

Heading over to Morrisons, grab better than half-price deals on Goodfella’s Deep Loaded Cheese Pizzas, now £1, Aunt Bessies Croquettes, now 70p, and Thorntons Toffee Temptations/Chocolate Trio Sticks, now £1.50. At the butchers, British Brisket Joint have been reduced by £1 to £4.48 per kg and British Boneless Pork Loin Joints have £2 off at £6 per kg

Look out for various BOGOF offers at the Co-op on Wyke Farms Rich & Creamy Cheddar (£3.79 each), Jammie/Toffee Dodgers (99p each), Cadbury Cre`me Egg/ Dairy Milk Buttons/ Flake/Mini Eggs/ Mars Maltesers/ Mars Medium Eggs (£3.50 each), Dolmio White and Red Sauce for Lasagne (£1.66 each) and Ginsters Deep Fill Slices (£1.69 each).

At Sainsbury’s, buy two 400g blocks of own-brand cheddar for £5 including Extra Mature (£3.42 each) and West Country Farmhouse Mature (£3.29 each). Or, save 69p on Jordans Country Crisp, reduced to £2, which comes with raspberries or raisins, and by 3 bags of Kettle Chips for £3 (up to £1.83 each normally). For a cheap coffee fix, Nescafe Black Gold is reduced from £5.95 to £4.50.

For another coffee bargain, Tesco is selling various bags of Taylors of Harrogate coffee on a 2 for £4.50 deal. There are also handy 2 for 1 deals on McCoys crisps (usually £1.70 each), McVitie’s Mini Cheddars (£2.89 each) and Jaffa Cakes twin-packs (£2.10 each).

Stock up on cereal too – it’s 3 for 2 on Alpen (£2.59), 3 for 1 on both Nestle Honey Cheerios and Sugar Puffs, plus Kellogg’s Special K is reduced from £2.99 to £2.

At ASDA some good deals include Heinz Hoops Snap Pots (4) for £1, saving you 65p, Activia Pouring Yoghurt for £1.50, saving you 48p, 500g tubs of Lurpak Spreadable for £1.50, saving you £1.30 and 4 Ben & Jerry mini tubs for £5.

Finally, at NETTO 3-can packs of John West Tuna Chunks are only £2.49, an impressive 40 bags of Golden Wonders will set you back just £3 (only 8p per bag!), Ferrero Rocher for £2.49 (was £3.89), and this weekend only, grab a 2kg chicken for £3.50, down from £4.39!

Tipple

If you’re looking for something a bit special this weekend, you can buy a case of Louis Chaurey Champagne for £81 at M&S, down from £162, working out to £13.50 per bottle.

Ocado is also offering 25% off when you buy any 6 wines from hundreds of wines – see the selection here – only until 11.30pm tonight!

At Morrisons various wines are better than half-price including Lagunilla Rioja Reserva (which is limited to 6 cases per customer) for £5, down from £12, Isla Negra Reserva Sauvignon Blanc for £4, was £8.49, and Freixenet Excelencia Vintage Cava for £6, was £12.25.

NETTO is offering a bottle of Jack Daniels whisky for £14.99 – that’s £3 off – and four cans of Blackthorn Cider for £1.99 (was £3) this weekend only. And, at the Co-op, bottles of Baileys (Orginal, Coffee and Mint) are currently £9, down from £14.29.

Plus, you can still get 20% off Spanish wine at Majestic Wine – see the selection here – when you buy at least two bottles and 20% off when you buy any two South African wines.

Cut price snacks.

At Whittard get 20% off Easter gifts including white chocolate sheep lollipops (now £1.50) and vanilla biscuits (now £2.25). See the selection here.

If you haven’t got round to it yet, don’t miss the latest money-off deals at Millie’s Cookies, with vouchers for six cookies with six free, plus BOGOF on treatboxes, small hot drinks and small combos. The vouchers expire on 30 April.

And, at Iceland keep your eyes peeled for these offers; 565g Nestle Golden Nuggets for £2, a 12-pack box of Oat So Simple Original for £1 and a 2 litre bottle of Coke with 50% extra free for £1.50.

Voucher codes

Save 10% at Hotel Chocolat when you spend £25 using code MYSPG11, which expires 30 April. Or, sign up for the Moko Chocolates newsletter and you’ll be sent a code for 10% off their products.

There’s an ongoing code for new Ocado customers to get £15 off their first shop when they spend at least £75. Use the code VOU0050562 at the checkout.

Tesco has extended its offer for £10 off your first online grocery shop. To get the discount, you’ll need to spend at least £50 and enter the code XXAFFT at the checkout, for delivery made before 31 May. Just bear in mind that certain items - including wine by the case, tobacco, infant milk formulae and prescription medicines - are not eligible for the discount.

Also there are good food offers on group-buying website Crowdity this week – online farmers market Forman & Field is giving away £27 worth of produce for just £10 (which you can redeem against P&P). Expect some lovely cheeses, meats and fish, all delivered direct to your door – take a look at the Forman & Field website.

This deal expires at midnight this Sunday but it only needs 20 people to reach the tipping point and if it goes ahead, you have until 30 September 2011 to redeem the voucher.
