Welcome to this week's edition of Frugal Food. We’ve got new and extended restaurant deals from Zizzi, Prezzo, La Tasca, STRADA, Pizza Hut and Pizza Express. We’ve also got 2 for 1 on Muller multipacks, a great deal on beef roasting joints, 25% off Champagne, free pints of Guinness, new Millie’s Cookies vouchers, £10 of free food, and a great ‘grow your own’ online guide!

Best supermarket deals

This week, we’re going to kick off with the best deals at ASDA. 500g boxes of Shreddies are down from £1.72 to £1 each, and you can currently pick up 24 large, free range eggs for £4.

At Sainsbury’s, there are 2 for 1 deals on a range of Young’s and Birds Eye frozen fish products. And there’s a still a 2 for 1 deal running on Innocent veg pots.

Over at Tesco, top offers include 2 for 1 deals on Cathedral City Cheddar, Philadelphia, Muller Fruit/Crunch Corner multipacks and Tango multipacks.

Morrisons is currently selling a range of Italian ready meals at half their normal price. You can also pick up 20 Young’s fish fingers for £1.90, and 12-packs of Hula Hoops for £1.29.

At the Co-op, beef roasting joints are down from £9.49 to £4.49 per kilogram, boxes of Cadbury Milk Tray are down from £7.30 to £3.50, and boxes of Thornton’s Chocolate Selection are reduced from £7.50 to £3.59.

LIDL offers include 2.5kg of potatoes for £1, and 500g tubs of Utterly Butterly for 75p.

Meanwhile at ALDI, new Super 6 fruit and veg deals include whole heads of broccoli, 500g of parsnips and three-packs of onions for just 39p each.

Finally, at NETTO you can pick up five KitKats for £1, four litres of milk for £1.50, and loaves of Kingsmill bread for 79p.

Tipple

Marks & Spencer is currently offering 25% off all champagne bought online: You can check out the deals right here.

And when you buy a gourmet burger at a Molloy’s pub, you’ll now be able to pick up a free pint of Guinness.

Choose your local branch, and download the ‘luck of the Irish’ voucher you find there. The offer runs all day, every day until 24th February.

You can still grab a free pint of Estrella Damm beer from Pitcher & Piano. Just register here, print the voucher and present it at the bar.

Finally, new online shoppers with Tesco Wine can still get £10 off orders over £50.

To get the discount, enter the code XX7HFW at the checkout. Bear in mind that you need to order at least 12 bottles of wine, or six of Champagne. This offer runs until 27th February.

Cut price snacks

A new set of Millie’s Cookies vouchers has recently been released: Once you’ve registered here, you’ll be able to download them and print them off.

Deals include ‘buy six cookies, get six free’, a 2 for 1 deal on hot drinks, and more.

You can still get £1 off your next drink at Costa Coffee. Visit your nearest branch, pick up a Cost Coffee Club card and register it online.

Your card will automatically be credited with 100 free points - the equivalent of £1.

And Giraffe is still running a promotion offering selected breakfast items - plus a hot drink - for £5. This is in-restaurant deal, and can be grabbed Monday to Friday before 11am, until 25th February.

Meals on offer include scrambled egg and chorizo on a toasted muffin, morning quesadilla, eggs, bacon and toast, organic porridge, or a breakfast bap with two fillings.

Voucher codes

There’s a new voucher code on offer from milk&more, an offshoot of Dairy Crest that uses milkmen to delivery various items to your door.

Once you’ve checked that deliveries are made in your area, do your shopping and enter the code WEBFEB at the checkout to get £10 off your items.

There’s no minimum spend - so if you order less than £10 worth of stuff, your goods should be free.

However, bear in mind that you will need to set up a method of regular payment (for example, via direct debit). If you don’t want to start paying, just cancel this after your first delivery.

Tesco shoppers can still get £10 off their first grocery orders. To get the discount, you’ll need to spend at least £50 and enter the code XXAFFT at the checkout.

The delivery needs to be made before 31st March. Just bear in mind that certain items - including wine by the case, tobacco, infant milk formulae and prescription medicines - are not eligible for the discount.

A new website has just been launched which should provide a ‘grow your own’ helping hand. The Vegetable Trading Co site lets you select whether you have a flat, a balcony or a garden. A selection of vegetables and herbs are then suggested to suit the space.

Each variety also comes with a step-by-step guide on how to grow it. And you don’t have to buy the produce directly from the site (although that’s an option); you can get all the hints and tips for free.
