Welcome to this week’s edition of Frugal Food. Let’s jump straight into the best grocery deals around.
Best supermarket deals
This week, I’m going to start with the best deals at NETTO. You can now get six cans of Coke or Diet Coke for £1.79, and 700g bottles of Heinz tomato ketchup for £1.49 each. Finally - for this weekend only - Terry’s Chocolate Oranges are just £1 each.
At LIDL, you can pick up 1kg of clementines for 99p, 400g of Valley Spire Cheddar cheese for £1.44, and 2.272l of milk for £1.
Over at ALDI, Super 6 fruit and veg deals include 500g of broccoli, 500g of leeks, 1kg of carrots and whole cabbages - all for 49p each.
Top deals at Morrisons include Ben & Jerry’s ice cream: All varieties have been reduced from £4.19 to £1.99 per tub.
You can also pick up whole, 3kg frozen turkeys for £8; and there’s a 2 for 1 deal on Cadbury’s Selection boxes, which means you get two boxes for £3.99.
At the Co-op, 870g jars of Quality Street chocolates are reduced from £9.50 to £4.50. And you can still grab a bargain 454g ‘Truly Irresistable’ Christmas pudding for £2.50, down from £5.50.
At Tesco, good deals include Mrs Peek’s Christmas puddings (680g) - down from £6 to £3 each. Alternatively, you could invest in a Tesco Finest Matured Christmas pudding (907g) - reduced from £10 to £5 each.
Also at Tesco, fresh pork leg joints (3.5kg) are currently half-price at £10.47; as are Bernard Matthews frozen turkeys, in a range of sizes.
Over at ASDA there’s another Christmas pudding deal: Extra Special Six Month Matured Christmas puddings (454g) are down from £4.49 to £2.
A range of Frijj milkshake drinks are currently half-price; and several varieties of Haagen Dazs ice cream are still reduced from £3.97 to £2 per tub.
Also at ASDA, there’s a better-than-half-price deal on Heinz tomato ketchup: 700g bottles usually cost £2.08 each, but you can currently buy two for £2.
Finally, Sainsbury’s top offers include a 2 for 1 deal on Mr Kipling mince pies, and 2 for 1 deals on various Muller Fruit/Crunch Corner multipacks.
And there are also lots of half-price deals on tins of biscuits. For example, this Cadbury Collection is down from £4.99 to £2.50, and this McVitie’s Classic Collection is reduced from £6.99 to £3.49.
Tipple
You can currently get a free drink at your local Pitcher & Piano bar when you register here, copy down the voucher code you’re given, and repeat it at the bar.
The offer runs all day, every day until 5th December. Drinks included in the deal are a pint of Grolsch Blond, a Choc a L’Orange cocktail, a Pacific Sailor cocktail, a Grand Tanq cocktail, or a bottle of Windhoek lager.

Finally, there’s currently a big wine and champagne sale on at Marks & Spencer. Discounts of up to 50% are available online until 28th November, and you need to buy at least six bottles at a time.

Cut price snacks
Krispy Kreme is currently running several Dozen Days of Christmas money-off deals. For example, if you buy a coffee and a doughnut, you’ll get another coffee and doughnut free.
You can download the vouchers from this page of the website. Just make sure you read all the terms and conditions, because some Krispy Kreme outlets aren’t included in the deal.
And you’ll have to be super-quick bagging your freebies, as the offer only runs until 26th November.
There’s a good deal at Whittard of Chelsea: At the moment, you can get 25% off all gifts, including lots of tea, coffee and chocolate treats. Perfect for some early Christmas shopping!
Voucher codes
Spend at least £50 at Tesco Wine, enter the code XXH7F6 at the checkout, and you’ll get £10 off.
The order has to be placed before 29th November, and isn’t valid on wine bought from the Tesco Grocery website.
Spend over £40 at ASDA and you’ll be given a coupon book, containing another £40 worth of discounts. The promotion applies to both in-store and online purchases.
The second (‘Red’) set of coupons has now been launched - and they’re valid until 28th November.
