Welcome to this week's edition of Frugal Food. We’ve got new and extended restaurant deals from Pizza Hut, Prezzo, GBK, La Tasca, Livebait, ASK and Papa John’s. We’ve also got a half-price M&S food deal, a 3 for 1 deal on cheese, pizzas for £1, half-price Ribena, a Baileys price war, 20% off at Whittard, 10% off at Approved Food, and some great 99p food deals!
Welcome to this week’s edition of Frugal Food. Let’s jump straight into the best grocery deals around.
Best supermarket deals
This week, I’m going to kick off with a new deal at Marks & Spencer: At the moment, whole, fresh Oakham chickens are half-price, starting at £2 each.
The deal is in-store only, and runs from now until 7th November. Each customer is allowed to buy a maximum of two chickens, and you can find full details of the offer here.
At Tesco, top offers include plum punnets for 50p (down from £1), and a great 3 for 1 deal on Cathedral City Extra Mature Yet Mellow Cheddar.
900ml tubs of Carte D’Or ice cream are half-price. There’s a 3 for 1 deal on Branston baked beans, too - which means each 410g tin ends up costing just 20p.
Finally, the ‘tinned chocolate price war’ continues, with various 1kg tins down from £10 to just £4.50 each.
Over at Sainsbury’s, a variety of Hellmann’s mayonnaise is half-price, and there’s a 2 for 1 deal on Hula Hoop multi-packs.
ASDA deals include the excellent two for £3 Ben & Jerry’s offer. A range of Goodfella’s pizzas are down from £2.27 to £1 each; and there’s a 2 for 1 deal on various Fray Bentos pies.
At Morrisons, 1l bottles of Ribena are currently half-price, at £1.38. And if you buy any Goodfella’s Thin pizza (priced at £2.49), you’ll get another two free.
Finally, Morrisons is running this £4 bonfire meal deal, ready for fireworks night this weekend.
Co-op deals include a better-than-half-price offer on 454g rich fruit Christmas puddings: They’re usually £3, but you can currently pick one up for £1.15. You can also pick up 500ml tubs of Haagen-Dazs for £1.99 each (usual price £3.98).
Over at LIDL, you can get 500g of parsnips for 32p, 1kg of baking potatoes for 59p, and 500g tubs of Utterly Butterly for 75p each.
And finally, NETTO top deals include 460g bottles of Heinz tomato ketchup for £1, 400g Toblerones for just £2 each, Mr Kipling mince pies at £1 for a box of six, and 14 Time Out bars for just £1.
Tipple
1l bottles of Baileys are now on offer at Sainsbury’s, priced at just £9.39 each. And exactly the same deal is running at Morrisons, with 1l bottles priced at £9.39 there, too.
At ASDA, there’s still a good offer on wine: Several bottles around the £8 mark are included in this three for £10 deal.
Finally, you can still grab six free bottles of wine - plus a day trip to France - for just £18 with P&O.
You’ll get a day return from Dover to Calais for a car and up to nine passengers, plus a crate of either JP Chenet red or JP Chenet white wine. And you’ll also get a 2 for 1 voucher to use on fish and chips or breakfast to use on the ship.
Just book online here and enter the code XmaswineDT in the box. Just remember that you need to claim your free wine on the outward leg of your journey.
You need to book before 2nd December, you can travel between 11th November and 16th December, and price supplements apply to Friday, Saturday and Sunday travel.

Cut price snacks
You can currently get 20% off everything at Whittard of Chelsea - including a range of tea, coffee and sweet snacks - when you order online and enter the code WHT2010 at the checkout.
This code is valid until 31st December.
Visit IKEA 8th-12th November and you can grab a 2 for 1 deal on breakfast.
This means you'll be able to get two full cooked breakfasts - each consisting of a scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hash brown, baked beans and tomato - for a total of just £1.55.
There's no voucher; you just walk in and claim the deal. Just be aware that it's not on offer at IKEA Dublin.
Finally, you can still get a free glass of coke when you register with Yates’s pubs. Just sign up here, print the voucher and take it to your nearest branch to claim your drink.
Voucher codes
You can now get 10% off all online orders at Approved Food - a retailer which specialises in selling cheap clearance food items that are past their ‘best before’ date.
To get the discount, enter the code AP10 at the checkout. The offer runs until 7th November.
Spend over £40 at ASDA and you’ll now be given a coupon book, containing another £40 worth of discounts. The promotion applies to both in-store and online purchases.
The first set of ‘Green’ coupons - book one - will be valid 1st-14th November. The second set (‘Red’) will launch on 8th November, and be valid 15th-28th November.
Book one coupons offer money off dozens of everyday household items, from mince and yoghurts to tea bags and shampoo.

And finally... 99p food bargains
In many towns, 99p Stores and £1 shops like Poundland have filled the gaps left by Woolworths.
I recommend you check out the groceries at your local one: Many of them have really increased their food ranges in recent months, and there are loads of bargains to be had.
For example, at 99p Stores you can now pick up big bottles of HP brown sauce and Heinz tomato ketchup, 800g Kingsmill or Hovis loaves, 1kg bags of sugar, boxes of Jordans Country Crisp cereal, 12 eggs, 500ml of olive oil and even Christmas puddings - all for - that’s right - 99p each!
