Structured products get some deserved stick

One highly successful investment professional has called for structured products to be banned.

I've never liked structured products - at least the ones that offer guaranteed returns such as guaranteed equity bonds or guaranteed growth products. They're riskier than people realise and you end up paying chunky charges for an unattractive product.

So I really enjoyed this article by Peter Hargreaves of Hargreaves Lansdown on structured products. He really lays into them and calls for a ban. And it's a really entertaining read too. Go and have a look now.....
