A tunnel on tracks

This is so cool!

The Chinese have come up with a brilliant idea. A ‘straddling bus’ that travels over the top of cars. Cars can carry on driving on the roads as normal but every so often a mobile tunnel will surround them as a bus travels on a higher level.

If that makes no sense, have a look at this picture and all will be clear. It’s such a clever idea. Hopefully it will make new public transport projects much cheaper to implement.

I saw this on another blog a couple of days ago and thought it was quite smart. I have to say that the chinese are very proactive when it comes to public works. They are looking at developing a high speed rail network that will eventually link up with the Middle East and Europe. We could use some "blue sky thinking" to try and solve some of the UK's public transport problems.

    Hi Sabaq,

Yes, I had seen reports of a Chinese plan to build a high-speed rail link to Europe.

If I were an ambitious soul I'd start doing evening classes in Mandarin. But I'm too lazy.....
