We are pleased to say that today we have upgraded the online banking feedback forum.

We are pleased to say that today we have upgraded the online banking feedback forum.

Key features of the new forum format

  • The ability to create threads (rather than previously being only able to post a single comment.)
  • The ability to organise your threads based on the type of feedback you have (bug reports (things that are broken,) feature requests, testimonials and general help queries.
  • The ability to comment on individual threads.
  • The ability to mark individual threads as private or public. Public allows anyone to view and comment. Private is a thread shared only between users and lovemoney.com staff.
  • The ability to mark threads as helpful.
  • The ability to sort threads by newest, most popular and most helpful.

What this new format will enable
Adding structure to the fourm and allowing threading should make it more useful for users and lovemoney.com staff. We hope to encourage discussion about the service and allow practical filtering so that the most pressing issues can float to the top, be prioritised and dealt with. Like everything else on lovemoney.com we will listen to feedback and iterate the format where we can.

What happens to all the comments posted to the forum in its previous format?
Unfortunately, we could not migrate these comments as they were not organised in the same way as the new format. However, we are keeping all previous comment available here. Also, every word is read, noted and used to inform future developments

What happens next?
As ever, we’d really like your feedback on the new format. If successful, we’d really like to roll it out to other parts of the website.

Please let us know your thoughts either by commenting on this blog or on the forum itself...

Hi Carl - very new to the site, but excited by the potential. The forum is missing a couple of very obvious features, hopefully they are en-route but I'll raise them anyway. Firstly a search facility for just the forums - perhaps a dropdown next to your site search box to filter results. Secondly, while you can post to a specific forum (bugs etc.) there is no direct way to navigate to that category without first finding a post of that type and clicking into the breadcrumb trail. This is not something many users would guess to do.

Thanks for an otherwise great service.

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. Very glad the service is proving useful.

I can see your points, I'll raise then with the team working on the next iteration of feedback/groups.

In the meantime, to filter by individual category you can also click on the category name in the 'All threads' churn itself (via the feedback landing page.) That is probably easiest.

    Thanks again!

    Carl
