    Hi chunkychops,

    Thanks for letting us know about the omission, my mistake. I've just added 'South West' into the list of possible UK regions. Have a great weekend!

    Hi

    Couldn't give an answer on Life Events question on why I hadn't saved in advance for the deposit on my house, none of the given choices applied, maybe an 'other' would be useful.

    Expenses not mentioned - financially helping adult children to go to university; buy house; get married,etc. Also being a free baby sitting service for grand-children so that adult children can continue their career - sometimes at the expense of yours - I guess that is why this website is called lovemoney!!

    Mispelling is always a pain!  Try to use spellchecker, also I had to "lie" for two responses because your choices were too narrow

    I'm a little surprised you only want to know about existing mortgages. Would some information on completed mortgages be of use to others?

    On the credit card questionnaire, the question about outstanding debt is a little ambiguous. I assume you mean a build-up of debt where only the minimum has been paid. To a certain extend, everybody who uses a credit card has debts from the moment they make a purchase until the end of the month, when they might well pay it off in full.

    It's difficult to put the life events into order of cost if one hasn't experienced a all them.

    Ooops... I made a mistake in one of the surveys right at the end when asked for my user name and hit the wrong key. Someone with a similar user name may now win a prize... grump grump grump!! I tried to re-enter the survey using the correct user name but the system won't let me... more grump grump grumps.

    Morning all!

    Apologies for the delay in getting back to you, will do my best to address all your queries now:

    @BrendaD

    Thank you for your suggestion. I have amended this Weddings survey question, a user can now select the option 'I have never been invited to/accepted an invitation for an overseas wedding'.

    @fruitcake2812

    Good spot, an 'other' option has now been added.

    @stickofrock

    I am not sure why you couldn't see the survey. Are you still encountering this problem? When you click the survey links in the blog above, where are you directed to?

    @sheila4711486

    Shall take both suggestions into account when devising future surveys.

    @grumpeyoldman100

    We disabled users from re-entering a survey once complete to avoid multiple entries. Which survey were you completing when you made the error? Let me know and I will ensure that your username was/is recorded.

    Hi whitestar,

    I'm sure you're right! Initially, I thought the idea of setting up a savings account for your wedding pre engagement was overly presumptuous, not to mention unrealistic. But after giving it some further thought, I can definitely see the sense in financially planning ahead.

    Getting married is among the major expenditures of our lifetime yet most us don't spare it a second thought until the big day is mere months away. Most of us simply don't think (myself included) to save for life's largest events. The problem is, if you don't plan ahead, it becomes much more expensive.

    Anyway, am definitely looking forward to seeing the survey results!

    Just completed 'Life Events' - I think it should have a tick box for saving for other people's weddings, not just your own. I have 3 this year (so far) to attend and buy gifts for...travels costs, hotel, clothes, spending money......at least, nobody knows what I've worn at each wedding so I can wear the same dress.

    Hey.

    The wedding survey was missing one demographic, which is the "Not married but currently planning a wedding" I think that's an important one unless i have missed it...

    Cheers.

    Hi, I understand your point but the 'Life Events' survey focuses on the largest financial benchmarks in a person's lifetime, I don't think saving for another person's wedding is something most people would consider an important life event.

    However, as I mentioned above, I do completely understand the expense associated with attending weddings. Our 'Wedding' survey deals with the cost incurred by wedding guests in detail.

    I hope you enjoy all the weddings you attend this year despite the expense. I think recycling an outfit is definitely a good idea!

    @soniaosborne

    Hi, the first question in the Wedding survey is 'Are you married?' If you tick 'no', you are automatically directed to a section for those who are not married. A question within this section asks the respondent, 'Why aren't you married?' One of the respones is 'I'm engaged, just haven't had the wedding yet'. I think this option should cover those who are currently planning a wedding.

    Thanks for your feedback!
