Today is a great day for the website. We have added an online banking service to our suite of social, personal and service orientated content and tools.
Today is a great day for the website. We have added an online banking service to our suite of social, personal and service orientated content and tools.
We have high hopes for online banking. It's an innovative service that's yet another compelling reason to choose lovemoney.com.
What you get from the service:
1) Your money in one place.
By simply adding the details for all your UK online bank and credit card accounts once you can start browsing and filtering all your balances and transactions in one place.
2) A true picture of your income and expenditure.
lovemoney.com online banking charts and compares your income against your expenditure and provides a handy overview of the money you have left at the end of the month. This feature is particularly useful for monitoring overspending and for setting savings goals.
3) Understand how your spending breaks down.
lovemoney.com online banking categorises all your transactions automatically and presents these to you as a list and a pie chart. The service also provides a summary of how much you spend on each category.
Useful, huh?
What you should know about security:
1) We use the same levels of encryption as banks and credit card companies.
For more information, read our security FAQs.
2) It's a "read-only" service - no money can be moved.
lovemoney.com online banking allows you to keep a close eye on your transactions and balances all in one place. lovemoney.com online banking does not offer online payment services.
3) You register anonymously.
We don't ask for your name or any personally identifiable information when you register - just your email address.
What you should do if I have a problem:
First port of call if you have an issue should be our Help pages. If you cannot resolve your issue here, you should email obfeedback@lovemoney.com and a customer service representative will get back to you with an answer.
Future plans for the service:
We want to develop the functionality based predominantly on what customers of the service feedback to us. For this reason we've added a specific feedback forum so customers can tell us exactly what they think about the lovemoney online banking service and how to improve it. You don't necessarily have to leave a comment, if you see a point you like being made by someone else, please click 'recommend' on the comment to bring it to our attention. You can, of course, also comment on this blog post to leave feedback.
That's it for the overview on lovemoney.com online banking. As I mentioned we are very proud and excited to be able to offer this type of service - we really think it is going to help you to get the most out of your money and bring your finances to life! I always say it, but please do let us know what you think!
In other news:
I should also mention another recent addition to the fold. Two weeks ago we also unveiled our new car insurance quote engine.
The process of getting a car insurance quote has been completely overhauled with particular emphasis on improved usability and creating newly styled pages that we hope will make for a smoother process for all our customers.
This added 'smoothness' is also the result of integrating the car insurance quote engine with the lovemoney.com registration process. The advantage for you here is that there will be a reduction in the amount of times you'll need to enter your details on the site. Instead, lovemoney.com will remember all your key info (so you don't have to!). We'll also use this info to pre-populate other areas of the site should you choose to use another lovemoney.com service. Another big advantage of the integration with registration is that we will save your quotes for you. At any time you can revisit your searches and either amend them, or proceed with them. Pretty neat?
Soon, we'll be heading swiftly in to a car insurance version 2, new and improved. As with lovemoney.com online banking, if you do have feedback on anything I have outlined above, please leave a comment. All feedback is welcome and encouraged...
