Exciting changes! When you visit lovemoney.com today you will see we've made changes to our site layout, our homepage and the personal homepage.
When you visit lovemoney.com today you will see we've made changes to our site layout, our homepage and the personal homepage. We've also added why register? and help pages (which we'll add to over time to make more instructive and 'helpful'.)
For a while now we have been developing applications and tools that we genuinely believe will help you be the one who can sort out your finances and stay in control of your daily money.
We have reached the point now where if you are not registered for the website you are at a real disadvantage. The latest changes, for the most part, are there to guide you towards registering and getting the most out of lovemoney.com. Moving forward you really do need to be registered to benefit to the max!
We think the key thing to remember with registering is that it is pretty quick and it helps the website to organise content on your personal homepage that it thinks will be helpful to you. Registration will also help you in a practical sense because it allows the site to pre-populate applications and quote forms you may find yourself using on lovemoney.com in the future.
So, what's new?
Homepage:
We are making it easier to register. Oneclick and you are on the register page. Simple. You also get an insight into the latest activity on the site through the 'What's happening now' window.
Why register?
There are lots of benefits to being registered with lovemoney.com; the key ones are all summarised nicely on this page. Again, it's really about giving our customers a clearer picture of the website we have built and how to get the most value from lovemoney.com.
Help
For the key features of the site we have added a help section that provides you a brief description of the main tools and applications on lovemoney.com and some handy tips for getting the most out of them.
Personal homepage
A few changes here. The key thing is there is more support for getting the most from this page. When you first register there's a welcome note that links to the help section. There's also a message that alerts you to things you can add to your personal homepage if it is looking a little empty. We have also added an overview of activity from your lovemoney.com network to the right-handside of the page. The remainder of the page works as it did before, just a little better.
Compare products
We have removed the old Manage Your Money page and replaced it with a global 'Compare Products' button. Wherever you are on the site you can use this to get to product comparison centres.
Goals, Q and A, articles and blogs:
Continuing on the registration theme, when you are not signed in, we are serving compelling contextual reasons for registering to get more from articles, blogs, Goals and Q and A. In the article example, if you register you can select specific types of articles to get sent to your personal homepage. This functionality is there to save you time and it's a real advantage to start using it!
Ok, that's the tall and short of it. Rather a lot there? We've been busy haven't we? We really hope you like these changes and that they help you get the most from your lovemoney.com experience.
As always, your feedback is really important to us so please do comment on this blog to tell us what you think or ask and questions you may have about the changes.
Bye for now,
Carl
