More Fool/lovemoney.com feedback: day two highlights
For your Friday amusement, here are a few of the more lighthearted snippets from our feedback exchanges with customers following The Motley Fool’s unveiling of lovemoney.com:
(You can read all about The Motley Fool's announcement on this blog post)
1 - “Nintendo.”
Example message:
“I realise that this is probably not in your remit as a financial organization but perhaps you can guide me in the right direction. I have tried on several occasions by telephone and by email to contact Nintendo for a spare battery for their product. When I phone, I am kept hanging on to the line waiting for the next available operator for an extortionate length of time (paying for the call without getting an answer) and this I feel is legalized extortion. When I try to contact them by email, I receive no reply. Could you point me in the right direction in order that I can get a battery replacement please? I would be most grateful if you could assist me in this matter.”
In response:
Thank you for the feedback. This is not exactly our area of expertise, but it sounds very frustrating that you cannot get a battery for your Nintendo. Waiting on automated lines for a long period of time is also no fun at all.
Now I have had to take a guess on the Nintendo product, but if it is a DS, then you can purchase a replacement battery here: http://www.tantronics.co.uk/acatalog/nintendo_ds_Battery.html
Alternatively, if you have not used this contact page for Nintendo, then here it is: http://www.nintendo.com/corp/contact.jsp
Hopefully your Nintendo is back up and running soon.
As the replacement battery costs £7.82 (+ p&p), you will need to make sure your finances are in order in the future, so keep an eye on The Fool and lovemoney.com!

2 - “Any chance of a freebie t shirt as per your advert?”
In response:
The t-shirt in the graphic does not exist! It was created by our crafty designers, and is no more than a t-shirt hoax designed to get across the message of the new brand, lovemoney.com.
We can send you a Fool t-shirt, and put you on the list for new lovemoney.com merchandise if you let us know where to send to and you manage to link to lovemoney.com ten times on blogs or article comments on the internet : )

3 - "Mis-spelling!"
Example message:
“.. um have you guys checked out alternative spellings of your new brand.
I mean, you have looked at the lovehoney web site, right?"
In response:
Thanks for your feedback. I have cc'd in our marketing manager who is only too aware of lovehoney.com (big customer apparently).
Yes we know about them, and yes, it is relatively close in a spelling sense, but hopefully it is not too much of a problem. Clearly as brands and products we do not share too much in common?
