Just another quick note from all of us to say Happy New year, especially to those of you working between Christmas and New Year.

There’s a few of us in the office and it’s been a nice quiet time to reflect on the exciting projects we have for lovemoney.com in 2009.

Whilst it’s quiet it has also been enjoyable reading around the various finance/business related blogs out there on the internet. We at lovemoney.com think it’s excellent that there is a rich array of such content out there on the web, long may it continue! Here’s a handful that we’ll be keeping an eye on in 2009.

Mark Mardell’s Euro Blog is from the BBC Reporters’ stable of blogs. Not exclusively business or money. Quite simply, Mardell has the scoop on European issues. The prolific Mardell’s blog is the place to visit to keep abreast of EU issues.

The Times Money Blog has a variety of contributors commenting on both the harder and softer side of the news.

BeeHive Pensions Blog is sold as "pensions gobbledygook explained.” There’s everything here you ever needed to know about pensions.

The Capital Chronicle is one for the investors amongst you. It's witty, insightful and updated pretty regularly.

Wise Bread is a U.S blog about living well on a budget. There's plenty here about sensible money management from really interesting contributors. The site is well designed and quirky. The tone is light and seems to have a fairly broad appeal.

Peston's Picks is also from the BBC Reporters’ stable of blogs. Updated with frightening regularity, Peston has the lowdown on all the business news as it breaks.

Happy New Year!
