Egg Barclaycard merger

Changes affecting Egg users

Egg Barclaycard merger

Due to a recent merger between Egg, the internet bank, and Barclaycard UK, existing Egg Card users will find that their accounts on MoneyTrack will be unable to update.  These users will no longer be able to use their Egg Card and login credentials to access their accounts.  Instead users will receive a new Barclays card and new login credentials from Barclaycard.

What you need to do at the Barclaycard site

If you are an existing Barclaycard customer and have already registered for mybarclaycard, then you need to log in as normal by selecting Log in to mybarclaycard.  You should then find your new Barclaycard account has automatically appeared beside you existing Barclaycard product(s).

If you are new to Barclaycard, or an existing customer who hasn’t registered for mybarclaycard before, then you need to set-up your account to access your information such as statement records and recent transactions.  You will need to have your new card to hand when following the simple on-screen instructions.  If you have been notified that you will not be receiving a new card you can still set-up your account but you will need the letter from Barclaycard containing your account details (which are needed to log in).

What Egg users will have to do on MoneyTrack

All you will need to do to set up the new account is to edit your existing Egg card account and enter the new Barclaycard login credentials, once this has been done you will need to do a manual refresh.

I'm concerned about this - if I delete my EGG account won't all my historical egg transactions disappear? This will totally bugger up my past years averages and historical data. Can you somehow make sure the EGG data is stored permanently rather than refreshed on login?
