Don’t forget that this Sunday marks Father’s Day, so if you’re still racking your brains for gift ideas, or you simply can’t bear to miss a good bargain, make sure you check out this week’s discounts and deals!

Fashion and homewares

If you’re soon to be jetting off somewhere hot, you might be looking for some summer fashion to throw into your suitcase! Here are some of the top high street deals right now:

• Alexon: Save up to 50% in the sale.
• Barratts: Up to £10 off selected styles. Delivery for 99p when you use the online code SUMDEL
• BHS: 3 for 2 on selected kids’ clothing. Up to half price on furniture, home and lighting.
• Burton: Up to 50% off in the sale.

• Evans: Up to 50% off selected fashion and footwear.

• Miss Selfridge: £10 off partywear, plus 2 vests for £12, 3 for £9 lingerie, and £10 off skinny jeans.
• MyWardrobe: Up to 50% off in the summer sale.
• New Look: 20% off all dresses until Monday (21 June).
• Next: All items half price or less in the Next sale.
• Oasis: Up to 50% off selected fashion.
• Office: 10% off if you use the online code WC10. Valid today (Friday) only.
• Phase Eight: At least 20% off all collections.
• Urban Outfitters: Sale continues with many items reduced by 50%.
• Wallis: Up to half price off in the sale.

If you’re after something in the homewares section, Debenhams is offering up to 50% off selected items. So if you want to get your hands on some very fancy cookware, this Raymond Blanc Aluminium Professional Four Piece Pan Set is now £95 (RRP £190). Or if you’re after something a little more frugal, this Black Celebrations Four Piece Set is half price at £50.

Books and games

If you‘re hoping to curl up with a good book this weekend, or you’re looking for a decent present for your dad for Father’s Day, there are some great deals to be had.

Here's my round-up of the best:

• As always, The Book Depository is packed full of offers. So you can pick up Robert Ludlum’s The Bourne Deception for £3.69 (RRP £6.99). And if you haven’t yet read Stieg Larsson’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, you can now save £4.01 and buy it for £3.98.
• Amazon is offering up to 65% off selected books in its summer sale, as well as up to 50% off selected new releases.
• At WHSmith, there’s up to 60% off summer reading. A Summer Fling by Milly Johnson is now £2.80 (RRP £6.99). And there’s also up to 45% off new and coming soon books.

Alternatively, if you’re after some gaming action, take a look at these bargains:

• The Hut is offering up to 80% off selected games. If you’re after something for the PSP, Iron Man 2 is now £13.93, saving you £16.06.
• Over at Sendit.com, you can also pick up some great bargains, such as Red Steel 2 for the Nintendo Wii for £17.89, saving you £22.10, and Green Day Rockband for the Playstation 3 for £37.89, a saving of £12.10.

Film and box sets

Fancy putting your feet up and watching a good DVD or two this weekend? Well, here’s what’s on offer this week (the most heavily discounted are listed first):

Father’s Day ideas

If you’re struggling to come up with a Father’s Day present, these ideas might help to inspire you:

• If your dad is a bit of a beer fan, why not get him a home brewing kit from Home Brew Online? And if you use the online code SAVE5DAD2010, you will save 5% on your order! This expires on Sunday (20 June).
• Alternatively, if your dad is a major footy buff, you could get him a personalised book packed full of newspaper coverage for his favourite team! At buyagift.co.uk, these books are now £45, saving you £5.
• If that seems a little pricey, you could consider a personalised football diary for £15. You can even select which month you want the diary to start from. This is also at buyagift.co.uk.
• On the other hand, your dad might prefer a wine tasting tour at Vinopolis in London. Lastminute.com is offering up to 25% off so tickets are now just £18.75!
• If your dad’s a bit of a chocoholic, you can get 10% off at Thorntons with the online code FD4D if you use it before Sunday.
• There’s also 12% off orders at Getting Personal if you use the online code VCDAD12 before Sunday. Here you can pick up personalised mugs, calendars, photo frames, gardening gift sets, sweets, notebooks, and more! So there’s bound to be something your dad likes.
• Finally, you could treat your dad to a meal out at Pizza Express – and with this voucher, your dad can eat for free! (Another main meal must be bought to qualify for the free meal. Valid on Sunday only.)

Cheap days out

Looking for some entertainment? Check out these top deals:

• If you fancy a trip to the cinema, but don’t want to blow the budget, you can now enjoy a third off your ticket with Odeon Cinemas with this voucher! This is valid until 1 July.
• Alternatively, if you’re paying a visit to Birmingham, you can enjoy an open bus sightseeing tour and get two tickets for the price of one with this voucher from Visit The Heart! This is valid until 11 September.
• And once you’ve done that, why not pay a visit to Cadbury World, also in Birmingham, where kids can get in free with this voucher from Visit the Heart? This is valid until 30 December.
• Finally, there’s up to 50% off tickets to Alton Towers with Lastminute.com, so adults can get in for £19!
