Books and games
With the weather still absolutely rubbish at the moment, I’m planning on staying in bed this weekend and reading a good book. If you’re the same, here are some of my favourite deals:
- If you are a fan of the True Blood TV show, why not snap up the newest book in the series, Dead and Gone. Over at Amazon you can save £3.70 – it’s just £4.29.
- The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebolds has just been made into a blockbuster movie, but if you want to check out the original novel, get yourself over to The Book Depository where you can get your hands on it for just £2.97! That’s a saving of £5.02
- Finally, if you’re a football fan then you need to read the brilliant Inverting the Pyramid, by the phenomenal Jonathan Wilson. Over at AbeBooks, you can get your hands on it for the bargain price of £6.08!
Alternatively, if you prefer a bit of finger tapping action, why not go for one of these brilliant bargains:
- If you fancy a new game for your PS3, then get yourself over to ShopTo.Net, where you can snap up Aliens vs. Predator for £29.85 – saving you 40%!
- Or, if you have a Wii, then you can get the brand new Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers game for £23.97, saving you £11.02.
- And finally, if you’re an Xbox360 devotee, head over to Woolworths, where you can save yourself more than £20 on Bioshock 2! It’s available for just £29.97.
Gadgets & Gizmos
I’m absolutely rubbish with a camera, but if photography is your bag, be sure to head over to Argos. They are currently offering this brilliant Canon A490 camera at half price, down to £64.99 from £129.99.
It has 10 megapixels, movie capture, eliminated red eye and it even recognises faces!
Alternatively, if you want to focus on saving the planet and cutting your electricity bill, why not go for the brilliant DIY Kyoto Wattson energy monitor! Not only does it look nifty, but it measures how much money you are spending on your energy.
Get yourself over to The Green Stop and you can save yourself £17 – it’s available for just £82.99! That may seem like a lot of money for a money-saving device, but this particular gadget is a must-have for gadget-lovers everywhere - it won the number one spot in Stuff magazine’s top 10 gadgets of 2009.
