Submit your favourite money-saving tip to lovemoney.com’s twitter address (@lovemoney_com) and win a lovemoney.com goodie bag! The best tips will be featured in Frugal Friday next week.

The winning entry

The competition has now closed and here is the winning tweet:

"Instead of saving spare cash in ordinary bank account, open an ISA. Get all the interest tax free!" - from Libra10001

I liked this entry because of its topicality - the end of the tax year is just around the corner, and if you don't use up your ISA allowance, you'll lose it forever - and also for the fact that Libra is correctly a common misconception about ISAs: that they are only for large lump sums. In fact, you can save as little as £1 from an ISA and you'll benefit from the same amount of tax relief as you would if you saved the maximum.

Remember, with an ISA, you get 20% more interest if you're a basic rate taxpayer and 40% more interest if you're a higher rate taxpayer - so this tip really will boost your bank balance.

Read Last chance to get an ISA for help when choosing an ISA.

So well done Libra and congratulations - the prize of a lovemoney.com goodie bag will be winging its way to you shortly!

The runners up

"Use this week's till receipt from main shopping as next weeks shopping list.Add and delete as required. Then stick to list!" - VictoriaPlum953

"Use your kids artwork as wrapping paper saves money & the environment." KikiComp

All three tips will be featured in Frugal Friday this week!

Thanks to everyone who entered, and even if you didn't win, feel free to add your tweet to this blog using the comments box below!
