Last minute Christmas shopping? Make sure you use a shopbot!

A little while ago, I wrote a blog about why I love voucher codes.

In a nutshell, that's simply because they help to save you money when you're shopping online. But you'll be pleased to know that there are even more ways to help you do this.

So if you're still desperately trying to get a few Christmas presents together, make sure you use a shopbot.

Shopbot simply stands for 'shopping robot'. These are handy search engines which allow you to scour the web for whatever item you want and find it at the best price - you can look for anything from flight tickets, to CDs, to food.

For example, if you wanted to do your Christmas grocery shop, you could use Mysupermarket.co.uk.  This website allows you to compare the price of items sold at Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda and Ocado (aka Waitrose). You can then choose the shopping basket that's the cheapest and away you go!

If, on the other hand, you're doing some last minute present buying, and you've got a friend who's a bit of a bookworm, Find-book.co.uk compares prices on your favourite novels, and shows the prices on offer from a range of retailers. It will also take into account standard delivery costs, so you really know you're getting the best deal.

Alternatively, if you want to download your favourite tunes onto your MP3 player, take a look at Comparedownload.com which allows users to search through a database of more than 10 million tracks from various online music retailers.
