Save money on your medical essentials!

I've discovered a fabulous way to get all of your essential items cheaper!

I've recently returned from a holiday in India. Before I went, however, I had to go on a bit of a shopping spree to stock up on all sorts of essential items - suncream, mosquito repellant, various tablets to come to my rescue if I was hit with any kind of stomach bug - which, of course, I was.

As you can imagine, this little lot was potentially going to cost me a fair bit of money - particularly if I was just popping down to my local Superdrug or Boots.

But then I discovered the wonders of Chemist Direct. This fabulous little website supplies all of your medication needs - just cheaper!

The only downside to the site is that you will need to pay £2.95 for delivery - unless you spend more than £40. But considering the savings you could potentially make on your purchases, I think this is a price worth paying - particularly if you buy in bulk.

Plus, being one of the millions of unlucky hayfever sufferers in this world, I'm also very grateful to this website for saving me money on my hayfever tablets. Just recently I purchased these hayfever and allergy tablets for a tiny 29p for 30 tablets!

The Boots equivalent to this would have cost me a whopping £7.62! And even though these particular tablets are currently on a 'buy one get one free' offer at Boots, I've still easily saved money.

So from now on whenever you need to buy tablets/suncream/everyday toiletries, I'm recommending a visit to Chemist Direct!

    Hi Klawman

Thank you for your comments. I would like to add here that I was invited to a wedding in India, which is why I flew out there - as it was the wedding of my partner's best friend, I was very privileged to attend.

And as I have added in the article, it's not just medical essentials for travelling abroad that I needed.

    Thanks,

    Hi Rachel

There's also a cheaper way to get prescription medications: assuming that you have, on average, more than twelve prescriptions a year, for example, if you're asthmatic, or get eczema, then it can work out much cheaper to get an NHS pre-pay card. Moreover, you can pay for it annually, quarterly or, my personal favourite, monthly by direct debit: and you don't get charged any more for paying monthly instead of annually.

Useful to know about chemistdirect: I shall use them when I next buy medication for taking the Brownies on Pack Holiday.
