Highlights this week include £15 off pumps, BOGOF on kids shoes, huge savings at the big department stores, 40% off cinema tickets, free days out at National Trust places, free perfume samples, over 75% off games at Sendit and over £26 off the Mad Men box set seasons 1 to 3!

With the big retailers launching new autumn ranges, competition is rife and there are plenty of bargains around - so dive into this week’s frugal deals and stock-up your drawers for less.

Fashion & homewares

One deal not to miss is 25% off all departments at Debenhams (except beauty and fragrance which has 10% off) to launch the new season. This is only until Saturday, however, so get in quick.

It’s also worth checking out the tail end of the BHS three day spectacular – this also ends in stores on Saturday – where you can get buy on get one free on kids’ clothes and up to 20% off duvets and knitwear.

Cheap days out

Get out of the house and let your hair down with these offers:

• First up, you can see the latest flicks for less and save 40% on any Odeon ticket when you print a voucher from their website here. This is valid everyday up to and including Thursday 14 October and you can print the voucher as many times as you want.
• As part of Heritage Open Days the National Trust will be opening over 180 of its country houses, gardens and more unusual historic properties such as working watermills and candy striped lighthouses, for free on Saturday 11 September. Find out more here.

Here are the best buys on books this week:

• See if the Deals of the Week at Amazon take your fancy with savings of at least 55% on three titles; Never Look Away by Linwood Barclay, and The Grand Design by Stephen Hawking – both of which are reduced to £8.54 - and Wait for Me!: Memoirs of the Youngest Mitford Sister by Deborah Devonshire which is reduced to £9 (RRP £20).
• There are also some brilliant deals at The Book Depository, including the paperback version of The Host by Twilight saga author Stephanie Meyer for only £3.80 (saving you 52%) and C J Sansom’s Heartstone, now half-price at £9.48.
• Play.com has a few of the best buys this week too with Nigella Lawson’s Kitchen Recipes from the Heart for £12.99 (RRP £26) and A Week in December by Sebastian Faulks for £4.99 (RRP £7.99).

Elsewhere there are plenty of steals to be had on games:  

• Head to Coolshop to follow bounty hunter Samus Aran in the new release Metroid: Other M (Wii) for £32.27, saving you £7.72.
• You can save over 75% in the Autumn Price Fall at Sendit – keep those thumbs moving on the Nintendo DS with Tetris Party Deluxe with over £5 off (now £14.89) or save almost £30 on Little Big Planet for the PS3 at £15.89.
• Finally, you can get Singularity for the PS3 at HMV for the best price of £17.99. HMV also comes out on top for Naughty Bear for the Xbox 360 which is now £24.99, saving you £15. This game is not as cute as it sounds as it’s a game featuring a sociopathic teddy bear!
