Top picks for gifts

For something a bit different this week I thought it might be nice to give a helping hand to anyone struggling to find the perfect gift this week. Here are some of the best prezzy ideas I’ve come across:

Jewellery – Don’t buy your bling in the same old stores; take a look at the bespoke jewellery by Hoolala instead. You can save 40% on these pieces but only until 11pm tonight so get in quick! This winged cloud locket necklace caught my eye and has been reduced from £28 to just £11.20.

Beauty – Smellies are a classic gift, but don’t go for the boring gift sets – make your own hamper made up of their favourites. Find bargains in the Cheapsmells hot summer clearance, get some fillers at ELF where items are just £1.50, see what’s available in the Benefit ‘buh-buys’ section and if you’re struggling to find stuff for men, take a look at Lookmantastic and Washbag.

Home accessories – If you’re mum’s anything like mine, she’ll love her ‘bits and bobs’ for the house. Luckily there are some cute things in the Cath Kidston sale right now  or if that’s too chintzy, take a look at CocoMale, which stocks trendy items for the home and has a bargain corner with many items half-price.

Finally, don’t forget you can save 10% on all orders at gift store Gettingpersonal.co.uk with our exclusive code ‘love10’ – use it as many times as you like until it expires on 31 August!

HMV have the "Blade Runner: Final Cut: Ultimate Collectors Edition: 5dvd" boxset on sale at a ridiculous £4.99 instead of RRP £30.99 (HMV says RRP is £27.99). Whichever RRP it is, it's over 80% off. Incredible amount of extras for that money.
