I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a hot and sunny weekend – just the way I like it! But if the prospect of blue skies and warm days isn’t enough to put a smile on your face, this week’s fabulous array of discounts and deals are bound to do the trick!

Fashion and homewares

It’s not too late to spruce up your summer wardrobe! And if you’re not sure where to start, check out these brilliant high street bargains!

  • ASOS: 20% off your summer wardrobe.
  • Alexon: Save up to 50% in the sale.
  • Barratts: Up to £10 off selected styles. Free delivery on orders over £50 when you use the online code MOV5B.
  • BHS: 3 for 2 on selected kids’ clothing. Up to half price on furniture, home and lighting.

If you’re hoping to get out in the garden over the weekend, BHS is also offering up to 60% off selected garden furniture. This Eden garden table is now £49 (RRP £99) and this Eden garden chair is now £25 (RRP £50). Meanwhile, this Marcello garden bistro set is £79, saving you £120.

And if you’re after something for your home, House of Fraser is offering up to 50% off dining sets and bed linen. So you can now pick up a set of two Denby red wine glasses for £13 (RRP £26), or this funky George Clooney mug for £8 (RRP £11). Alternatively, this gorgeous Linea Liza double duvet cover is now £24 (RRP £30).

Gadgets and gizmos

If you’re a keen photographer, Argos is still offering some top deals on digital cameras. This Samsung Camera now has £50 off at £139.99, and this Olympus Camera is a bargain at £69.99 (RRP £79.99).

And if you have lots of photos to print out, make sure you don’t miss out on this top deal: This HP Photosmart Premium Printer is now half price at Argos at just £99!

Alternatively, if you’re after a netbook, this Asus Netbook has £50 off at £199.99, while this Acer Netbook is now £249.99 (RRP £299.99). Both of these deals are also at Argos. 

Books and games

Planning to spend your weekend catching up on some reading? Then take a look at these great deals:

  • Waterstones is currently offering a range of novels for half price or better. So fans of Twilight will be pleased to hear that Stephenie Meyer’s latest novel The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner is £5.99, saving you £6. This book is released tomorrow (Saturday).
  • As always, The Book Depository is packed full of great deals. For example, The Scarpetta Factor by Patricia Cornwell is now just £3.78, a saving of £4.21.
  • And WHSmith is offering up to 60% off selected paperbacks. So you can now pick up Born to Trouble by Rita Bradshaw for £2.40, saving you £3.59, as well as The Bricklayer by Noah Boyd for £2.80 (RRP £6.99).

Until Sunday, it’s still National Family Week. As a result, the National Family Week website is packed full of days out offers. So if you’re still looking for half-term entertainment for the kids, take a look at these deals:

  • Kids can currently go free to Woburn Safari Park with this voucher. This is valid until 31 October.
  • Kids also go free to the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth with this voucher. This is valid until 31 March 2011. Entrance does not include the 4D cinema.
  • You can save 20% on a family ticket to Paradise Wildlife Park in Hertfordshire with this voucher until 31 December.
  • Kids also get free entry to the Tower of London with this voucher. However, this expires on Sunday (6 June).
