Well, the good news is the bank holiday weekend is nearly here. The bad news is the weather’s taking a turn for the worse.

But never fear, because this week’s Frugal Friday is packed full of fabulous offers to cheer you up!

Fashion and homewares

If you’re feeling optimistic and are confident the sunshine will show its face again soon, you might want to spruce up your summer wardrobe a little. So to give you a helping hand, here are some brilliant fashion bargains:

  • Barratts: Spend more than £50 and get a £10 voucher.
  • Burton: Up to 50% off selected items in the spring sale.
  • Coast: Mid-season sale ongoing, up to half price dresses.
  • Debenhams: Free delivery and free returns until 5 May. 25% off selected men’s shorts.
  • Dorothy Perkins: Up to 50% off selected lines.
  • Faith: Up to 10% off full price items instore only. Company now in administration so no online orders.
  • Figleaves.com: New lines added to outlet with items reduced by up to 70%.
  • GAP: 30% off instore if you use this voucher by 2 May.
  • Hobbs: Mid season sale with up to 50% off.
  • House of Fraser: Up to 30% off selected fashion and homewares until 3 May. Plus, if you spend £50 or more on beauty and fragrance, you can get £5 off if you use the online code BEAUTY10
  • Joules: Free delivery when you spend over £50 with the code PP68.
  • Karen Millen: 20% off orders with the online code STYLE4. You’ll need to hurry though as this expires on Saturday (1 May).
  • Laura Ashley: Half price fashion and homewares.
  • Miss Selfridge: A host of deals in the sale, including three for £9 on lingerie, two vests for £12 and £10 off skinny jeans.
  • Moss Bros: Spring sale ongoing, with 50% off a range of shirts and ties.
  • New Look: Sale continues with up to 50% off selected lines.
  • Next: All items half price or less in the Next sale.
  • Oasis: Up to 70% off selected fashion.
  • Office: Up to 50% off selected items in mid-season sale.
  • Phase Eight: Up to 50% off a range of fashion and accessories.
  • Urban Outfitters: Buy three sale items and get free delivery.
  • Wallis: Up to half price off selected lines.
  • Wynsors World of Shoes: Gladiator Sandals from only £5.

Alternatively, if you’re planning to do some home improvements over the weekend, Graham & Green is offering up to 40% off homewares in its clearance sale. This gorgeous Wooden Garden Table is now £45 (RRP £89). And this Vintage Venetian Mirror has £18.60 off at £43.40.

Debenhams is also offering up to 20% off in its home event, as well as half price offers on selected items. This Le Creuset blue oval casserole dish, for example, is now £84 (RRP £105).

Books and games

If you’re hoping to add some weight to your bookshelves over the weekend, don’t miss these bargains:

  • The Book Depository is offering up to 50% off selected novels. Dear John by Nicholas Sparks is now £4.88, saving you £2.11. And if you’re a Susan Hill fan, The Shadows in the Street is now half price at £6.49. Alternatively, Ian McEwan’s Solar is now £8.88, saving you £10.11.
  • Amazon is also offering up to half price on selected books. So if you’re planning to whip up a feast in the kitchen and you’re a fan of Jamie Oliver, you can now pick up Jamie Does for £12 (RRP £26).
  • There’s also up to 50% off selected cookery books at WHSmith. And if you’re planning a holiday in the UK, WHSmith is offering up to 40% off UK travel guides.

    I'm really sorry to hear about the Smirnoff offer - it definitely said free before! I suspect, due to popularity, they have changed the offer. So I apologise for that - 30p off isn't quite the same!
