Spring may have sprung, but I can’t say I feel any warmer. So let’s hope this week’s fabulous array of discounts and deals helps to put the spring back in your step!

Fashion and homewares

The mid-season sales are getting under way, so if you’re looking for a fabulous bargain on the high street, check out these top offers:

• Barratts: Free delivery on orders over £50 – enter the online code MOV5B. Save £10 on court shoes.
• Burton: 50% off selected lines.
• Debenhams: 15% off when you spend £50 or more online on the Designers range.
• Dorothy Perkins: Up to 70% off selected lines.
• Faith: £10 off selected flat shoes.
• Graham & Green: 20% off everything if you use the online code M10WE20 by 15 March. Valid on new orders only.
• Hobbs: Selected items reduced, with as much as 70% off.
• La Senza: Many items half price.
• M&S: Get 50% off fine jewellery
• New Look: Up to 50% off fashion for men, women and children.
• Office: Up to 70% off selected footwear.
• Oasis: Many sales items half-price or better.
• Peacocks: Many items now half price.
• Plain Lazy: Save up to 50% on selected fashion.
• Republic: Two items for £30 on both men’s and women’s fashion.
• TOPMAN: Final clearance is taking place with up to 75% off.
• Topshop: Final clearance with some items better than half-price.
• Urban Outfitters: Up to 85% off men's and women's fashions.
• Wallis: Up to half price off selected lines.
• Warehouse: Up to 50% off selected fashion.

If you’d prefer to buy something for the kitchen, Amazon is offering some great deals on homewares right now. For example, this Russell Hobbs Slow Cooker is half price at £24.99. And this Prestige Two Slice Deco Toaster is also half price at £19.99.

Alternatively, if you’re in need of some new furniture, Debenhams is offering up to 50% off selected lines. This gorgeous Oak ‘Lyon’ rectangular coffee table has £80 off at £299, and this funky Acacia ‘Cuba’ lamp table is now £199 (RRP £249).

Gadgets and gizmos

At Argos you can currently save up to 20% on home theatre kits. So this Panasonic Home Theatre Kit is now £199.99, saving you £50. And this Panasonic Home Cinema System has £70 off at £279.89.

What’s more, there’s up to a third off selected TVs. For example, this Bush 19in LCD TV is now £149.99, saving you £50.

Books and games

If your only plans for the weekend are to shut out the cold weather and curl up with a good book, check out these bargains:

• The Book Depository is offering up to 60% off selected reading. So if you’re a fan of Jill Mansell, make sure you pick up her latest novel, Take a Chance on Me, for half price at £7.47.
• Alternatively, Cormac McCarthy’s The Road is now £3.85, saving you £4.14.
• And if you’re into your cake baking, take a look at Planet Cake which will teach you the art of cake decorating. This is now half price at £7.49, also at The Book Depository.
• Waterstones is also offering some great deals, including half price or better in its clearance sale, and up to 50% off new and recommended books.

On the other hand, if you’re looking for some thumb action this weekend, make sure you check out The Hut which is packed full of offers.

• Alice in Wonderland for the Nintendo Wii is now £17.73 (RRP £29.99)
• You can also get your hands on Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing for the Nintendo DS for £17.73, saving you £12.26.
• And Silent Hill: Shattered Memories for the PSP is now £17.93 (RRP £29.99)

Film and box sets

If you’d prefer to escape with a good DVD or two, you’ll be spoilt for choice with this little lot! (The most heavily discounted deals are listed first.)

Cheap days out

Wondering what to do this weekend? Why not treat yourself to a day out on the cheap?

• If you fancy a trip to the theatre, why not go and see Oliver? You can now pick up tickets at Lastminute.com from just £17.50!
• Alternatively, if you’d prefer to see the fabulous show The Woman in Black, you can enjoy tickets from just £12.25.
• And if theme parks are more your thing, Lastminute.com is also offering ‘kids go free’ to Legoland Windsor on selected dates.

If you’re turning forty this year, you can get free admission to Woburn Safari Park which is celebrating its own fortieth birthday this year.

Simply bring your passport with you to the safari park to get your free admission. This deal is valid until 31 October.

However, even if you’re not turning 40 this year, you can still enjoy tickets for just £1 on Thursday 20 May – the park’s actual birthday. Take a look at the Woburn Safari Park website for more details.
