Mother’s Day voucher codes

For anyone who normally leaves getting a Mother’s Day present till the last minute…shame on you! There’s no excuses now because I’ve put together a few of the best voucher codes – take your pick and treat your mum to something extra special this year.

Gifts start from just £2.93 at The Hut but you can save an extra 10% by entering the voucher code MD10 at the checkout. Take a look at the selection here.

New customers can save an impressive £5 on orders of at least £25 at Woolworths with the voucher code ZZ438. There are plenty of fab gift items to pick from, including experience days, flowers, perfume and electrical goods.

For something sweet you can get 10% off orders at Hotel Chocolat with the voucher code VCSPRING10 –expires 12 March. And for smellies, get 15% off at The Body Shop, exclusively through voucher code website Savoo.co.uk. This is only valid until Sun 7 March so you’ll have to get in quick.

Or, why not treat her to a new frock or some trendy accessories at Oasis where you can knock off 20% with the voucher code 2010GIFT which expires midnight Sat 6 March.

Health & beauty

Boots is bringing out the big guns in the run up to Mother’s Day with a host of special offers on beauty gifts so head to your nearest store or visit Boots.com:

Elsewhere you can save 40% on trendy Tigi hair care at Feel Unique and get a free Elemis Replenish Moisture night cream (worth £40) when you buy the matching day cream. Don’t forget you won’t pay a penny for UK delivery either.

For frugal fragrance, try luxury perfume website Elegant.com which is running a 70% sale on perfumes, gifts and cosmetics and offers free UK Delivery.

Clarins fans can treat themselves to a free Clarins Vitality Treatment Set worth £35 with any purchase of three other Clarins products at Lookfantastic.com. The freebie contains Clarins Multi-Active night cream, Clarins Multi-Active day, Clarins smoothing body scrub and Clarins gloss appeal sorbet.

Books, games & films

Right now you can save up to 80% on in the stock clearance sale at The Hut. Or, if you’ve got a specific budget in mind head to Play.com and enjoy 1000s of items for only £5, across the entire range or try ASDA where you can grab 2 DVDs for £8.

Amazon is also selling off box sets with up to 70% off! For example, you can buy the Blue Planet: Complete BBC Series for just £8.47. Amazon is also selling selected paperbacks, new releases and favourites (which received 4* reviews) all at half-price and not to be outdone, Waterstones is offering BOGOF on children’s character books.

Remember to check on Bookdepository.co.uk too as they can sometimes undercut Amazon by a few pence. Best buys at the Bookdepository include Percy Jackson and the Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan now just £3.47 and Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella for £3.84.

Games-wise you can test your driving skills with International Super Karts (PS2) for less than a tenner (£9.78) at Gamestation, or try to hold your nerve with Resident Evil 5 (PS3) available for only £17.50 at CoolShop.co.uk – this costs a mammoth £39.99 at Play.com so it’s a bit of a steal. For Xbox users, CoolShop is also selling Need for Speed: Most Wanted at just £7.48 and footie fans can get Football Manager 2010 for the PC for £15.99 – more than half off the list price of £39.99 – at both Amazon and Gamestation.

Gadgets & gizmos

Save the planet and revamp your garden with these gorgeous Murano solar powered garden light globes from Nigelsecostore.com. Made from hand blown and stained glass, these use a solar cell to provide up to 8 hours run time per night. Choose from midnight and sunset colours, for £19.99 (standard delivery costs £4.95).

Caabliving.com is offering discounts of up to 60% on selected Black and Blum items including this stylish wine rack, reduced from £30 to £17.50.

I’ve also fallen in love with these ridiculously cute bird house egg timers from Nettle Green.co.uk. They cost £8.75 each and will quickly brighten up a lacklustre kitchen. Equally as quirky are these photo coat hooks from APlaceForEverything.co.uk which have 80% off and now cost a mere £1 each!

Freebie of the week

Chocolate lovers take note! Cadbury Flake has joined forces with Benefit to give away a million lippies on special packs. Look for your 'kissed' Flake bar in store, peek inside for the unique code and log onto www.flake.co.uk to see if you’ve won.

Also, kids go free at Legoland on Sat 20 March (as long as they’re dressed up as a pirate and accompanied by a full paying adult). Download the voucher here.

Mobile phone deal of the week

Get 600 mins, unlimited texts and a free 4GB iPod Shuffle with this HTC HD2 smartphone on a £30 per month contract with O2. The downside is that you’ll be tied into a 24 month contract but with the free iPod this is still a great deal on a top phone.

This clever handset has a 4.3 inch touchscreen and runs Windows Mobile 6.5, with GPS, Wi-Fi and 3G. Check it out here.
