Frugal Friday - 6th April 2012

Welcome to this week’s edition of Frugal Friday. Let’s kick things off with the biggest fashion and homewares bargains…

Frugal fashion and homewares

Starting with the top codes this week, get 15% off footwear at Office when you enter the code SPRING at the checkout, or save 15% on designer sunglasses at My Bag with the code SUNMB before it expires on Monday 9h April.

If you’re a new Tesco Clothing shopper you get 15% off your first order using the code AFF12 (ends 17th June 2012).

And an exclusive Vouchercodes.co.uk deal saves you £5 on orders over £30 at Figleaves (expires Monday 30th April) – enter the code FIGFIVER at the checkout.

This weekend at Urban Outfitters if you spend £50 you can knock £10 off with the code EG10UO, ending midnight Monday 9th April.

Otherwise, you can save 25% on full price styles at Alexon or head to the sale section for up to 70% off items. Or get up to 50% off in the Gap new season sale.

It’s also Spring Sale time at House of Fraser and you can save up to 50% across the department store.

There is a half-price sale on at Laura Ashley with an extra 10% off selected items in the home sale and for George at Asda offers check out the knitwear for women (prices from £6) and men’s outerwear (prices start from £7).

There are discounts up for grabs on older boy’s formalwear at Marks & Spencer –  personally I find kids in suits a bit scary but if yours need something extra smart you can save 20% here. There is also a Home Event (until 11th April) saving you up to 30% on selected Furniture and 20% on selected Home.

There are also savings to be had in the Debenhams Easter Extravaganza – you save an extra 20% on furniture which is already half-price and 20% on home.

And, at Homebase get 15% off everything with the code DISCOUNT15 online (until Monday 9th April) or in-store today and tomorrow (Saturday 7th April) only.

You can save £15 on these dresses at A-Wear using the code EASTERDRESSOFFER or at Dorothy Perkins grab buy one, get one half-price on these Petite items and these Maternity items. Remember to see what’s on offer in the sale too.

Beauty bargains and discount codes

Pucker up for these deals on all your beauty must-haves:

  • There are lots of ‘gift with purchase’ deals on most of the beauty websites and they are usually pretty naff but right now if you spend over £40 on Marc Jacobs perfume at Boots you get a free umbrella. And you get a free Roberto Cavalli tote bag with these selected fragrances.
  • The only problem is that Boots can often be beaten on price so make sure you compare prices first (try Fragrances Compared) and if you find a better price, decide whether the freebie is worth paying for.
  • Over at Feel Unique you can save 20% on the entire Elemis range but only until midnight on Monday 9th April and check out these three for two deals at Halfpriceperfumes.co.uk.
  • Finally, there are some new codes for The Body Shop; use EASTER for 35% off any order; use EGG for 25% off when you spend £50 and HUNT for free standard delivery. All codes expire at noon on Tuesday 10th April.

Check opening times for stores. My local Tesco for example will be closed on Easter Sunday and will close at 6pm on Monday. The same for Aldi and most other supermarkets.
