Welcome to this week’s edition of Frugal Friday. I am back from my hols, straight from the sun into the cold snap so while I go dig out my thermals and put away my flip flops, you can check out the best frugal picks for fashion and homewares…
Frugal fashion and homewares
For department store bargains head to Debenhams online and use code TH96 for 20% off new season items, while you can also save up to £20 on full price jeans for men. Marks & Spencer is offering half-price deals on selected items and 25% off thermals. It’s also Blue Cross Sale time at House of Fraser so you can save up to 70%.
BHS is also selling items with up to 70% off across the store and as it’s Bonus Week you get another 25% off using code BONUSWEEK until the end of play today (3rd Feb) only – if you shop in store, just download and print this voucher.
Check here for the ongoing TescoDirect eCoupons and remember you get £10 off when you spend £40 at Tesco Fashion with eCoupon TREAT12 which expires 5th February.
For high end, high street fashion, Jaeger has up to 70% off in the New Year, Karen Millen has up to 70% off in the sale, you can save an extra 30% on sale boots at Aldo and it’s final reduction time at Coast.
Online at Asos the sale has had a reboot and you can buy all of these items for less than £20. At La Redoute the sale has been improved with final reductions of up to 70% and if you’re a new customer enter code 8354 to get £15 off when you spend £30 or more (valid until 30th June). At Very you can now save up to 70% in the Winter Clearance, or get 20% off new season fashion here.
For the rest of the best high street stores, grab items from £1 in the ongoing sale at Miss Selfridge and check out the New Look sale with plenty of items under £5. At Planet get up to 70% off in the sale and free UK delivery. There is a limited time offer of dresses for £50 at Banana Republic and Barratts has an ongoing sale with up to 70% off and an extra 20% off boots.
Final reductions have been made at Wallis with all coats under £50 in the sale, you can save up to £50 on boots at Office. Get £5 off your next order online or in store at Dorothy Perkins when you spend £30 before 14th February. And students get 20% off at Oasis until 14th February.
Finally, for the little’uns, Pumpkin Patch is still selling ALL items in your local store for only £7 and online, it’s two for £12 on tees and leggings, with up to 70% off maternity too.
Health and beauty bargains and voucher codes
Pucker up for the latest beauty deals:
- Superdrug has a 3 for 2 promo on Max Factor and there are some steals in the fragrance sale, including Calvin Klein Escape for Men eau de toilette 100ml for £19.99 (RRP £42.99) and £10 off Hugo Boss Collector’s Edition 100ml, now £29.99. And you get free standard delivery with any fragrance purchase.
- The latest offers at Boots include 3 for 2 on No7, up to half-price fine fragrance (plus use code LOVEBOOTS for £5 off if you spend over £45), 3 for 2 on professional haircare brands and up to half-price beauty electricals such as Philips Sonicare and this Babyliss pro 230 elegance straightener, reduced from £79.99 to £39.99.
- Use the voucher code LOVBEAUTY at Feel Unique when you spend £40 or more and you can knock £4 off your order – valid until 15th February only (offer excludes Stila, Gatineau, Phytomer, Mary Cohr and ghd straightners).
Book bargains and game discounts

- The latest book deals at Amazon include 2 for £7 on paperbacks, up to 40% off school books and at least 50% off hardbacks. Plus check out the three Book Deals of the Week which all have at least 55% off their original retail price.
- I finally got round to reading Room by Emma Donohue on the ridiculously long flight back to London and if you haven’t read it yet head to Play Marketplace where it costs £2.81 (RRP £12.99) for the hardback.
- Another Emma Donohue novel, The Sealed Letter (paperback) is only £4.86 (RRP £7.99) at The Book Depository where you can also buy My Hello Kitty First Cookbook for £2.75 (RRP £3.99).
